So, can I tell the I Love Lucy 991 story? It's really funny. And, well, lots embarrassing. But more funny. It's one of those true family stories that will probably be told at my wedding, well, if there's ever a wedding. But that's for a different day...

My place needs the deep clean right now and I am just cringing at the thought. But when it is clean? I happily do the daily pickup. Hell, I even vacuum then.

I will clean bathrooms, wash dishes by hand, dry and put them away, and tidy everywhere like a mofo if somebody will just come and vacuum for me. I *hate* to vacuum. Can't have a roomba for all the furniture. Swiffers are my friend for the hard floors, but the carpet flick thing is a toy for all it works on the cat hair on my rugs.
I love my new floors, 'cause swiffer is enough. SO nice. SO spoiled.

Keeping quiet is 9/10s of the image. Presenting yourself as someone who never keeps quiet, but actually does keep quiet on some things is the other tenth.

I closed down an Ann Taylor Loft window with something in it I could quite artfully argue I need (as opposed to 50% of what I buy there), and am going to ride the virtue of that unspent $24.99 for quite a while.
