All right, yes, date and shop and hang out and go to school and save the world from unspeakable demons. You know, I wanna do girlie stuff!

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Glad you are feeling better, Jars.

~ma for Aimee's kitty.

Continuing ~ma for Sean and S.

Yay for starting great new job, and a bit of a good start ~ma to Teacup Guy.

What is even happening?

Jars, sometimes we just need a good cry. Glad you woke up feeling better!

Yeah. I'm glad it was a good cry, Jars. You've got a lot on your mind right now. I hope it gets easier for you, and that you'll get some big, "YOU'RE DOING THE RIGHT THING," signs.

Sometimes, I have what I think is a good cry, and it ends up having been a bad cry, that just gives me the sick crying hangover. It's such a betrayal.

sj, good luck to Dave on his first day.

vw, I saw where you started watching Veronica Mars. Which episode did you catch?

First-day~ma to TCG, sj. You are such an awesome girlfriend! Putting coffee gift cards in his lunch. Will you be my GF?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Kitty~ma, Aimee.

Oh, Sean. Much much ~ma to you and S.

{{Daisy Jane}}

{{Jars}} Oh, sweetie. But, sometimes a good, cleansing cry is just the ticket.

I got to work at 7:30 this morning. Bleargh. I realize this is not early for others, but I typically work 10-7 and don't even get up till 8:30 or 9. But, I have a class that meets at 4:15 on Tues/Thurs which means I have to leave work at 3 to get there on time. Also, since I will be student teaching next semester, I'm trying to shift my hours earlier to shift my body clock a bit. And, on top of that, I didn't fall asleep till about 4 this morning, so I think I got about 1.5 hours of sleep. This is gonna be a fun day!

La Tep is SO MUCH FUN AND SO AWESOME like whoa

Not surprised. Also would not be surprised to hear that the feeling was mutual.

Oh HELL yeah. Have you ever had a couple-crush? Like, where you just really dig being around a couple (not in a threesome-y way, though). I have a couple-crush on Nora and Tom.

Yesterday involved a BBQ that one of my bro's co-worker's was having. He has an amazing house way the hell out in the woods, and I think I could live there as a hermit and be very happy.

Anyway, almost all of the people at the BBQ were restaurant people, or spouses/SOs, and as part of the festivities, they had games planned that would demonstrate people's restaurant-related skills.

As, for instance, the Wok Toss. Imagine the discus, but instead a big wok with handle, and you've got the right idea. They also had a Keg Toss. The keg was empty, but I'm still thinking there are a lot of people in Central Vermont this morning who are waking up and realizing that their backs hate them.

Good food, of course, and lots of beer, of course. Lots of fun.

Today I get my tattoo. Woot!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Hee! I really need to live in Vermont. I'm working on a plan for that, though sadly, it won't come to fruition for like 20 years. The BBQ sounds like so much fun.

Tattoo Day!

ETA: How's your dad doing?

Imagine the discus
At first, I read the above as some hip way of instructing me to imagine the discussion it entailed to have a wok toss. Then I got it. D'oh.

Yes, Tep, how's your dad?

Dad is fine, for the most part. He's kind of tired, b/c he never sleeps well in the hospital. But he feels pretty good otherwise.

Fortunately, he already had an appointment scheduled with his cardiologist for the week after we get back, so I know he'll follow up on whatever this was.

Mmmm, breakfast. Later, taters!

Thanks for the punctuation guys, but I really am in a much better mood today. Firstly, I know I can get an extension on my dissertation if I just ask, secondly, other people's reactions are not my responsibility and thirdly, I may not have money now, but give it a couple of months and I will. I know these things now, but were any of them coming to me last night? Nuh-uh. Stupid tiredness.
