Imagine the discusAt first, I read the above as some hip way of instructing me to imagine the discussion it entailed to have a wok toss. Then I got it. D'oh.
Yes, Tep, how's your dad?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Dad is fine, for the most part. He's kind of tired, b/c he never sleeps well in the hospital. But he feels pretty good otherwise.
Fortunately, he already had an appointment scheduled with his cardiologist for the week after we get back, so I know he'll follow up on whatever this was.
Mmmm, breakfast. Later, taters!
Thanks for the punctuation guys, but I really am in a much better mood today. Firstly, I know I can get an extension on my dissertation if I just ask, secondly, other people's reactions are not my responsibility and thirdly, I may not have money now, but give it a couple of months and I will. I know these things now, but were any of them coming to me last night? Nuh-uh. Stupid tiredness.
I'm more tired than I thought today. Teacup Guy just called and I could not figure out who it was. It probably has something to do with the fact that we almost always e-mail during the day (he doesn't have a computer set up at work yet) and he never calls. Plus, he was using his professional, phone voice. Still, I've been up for 4 hours after less than 6 hours sleep, so I think I am going to take a quick nap before picking up thessaly to cause trouble.
Glad your dad is doing better, Tep.
ita, I thought I'd mentioned but hadn't, that I am sorry to hear about Marni. I remember hearing her name when my best friend first got involved with krav in LA. Such a loss.
Sean, all sorts of vibes to S.
So, if you have been diagnosed with depression, and have been on ADs for years, and you go to a doctor to get your prescription updated, and the doctor says, "I'm going to refer you to a psychologist, because there's no point in just taking medication and not trying to get over it," would you be inclined to hand him some of his own office's literature on depression?
(edit: Person in question was in therapy for a while, but her therapist terminated it because person was doing well enough with light meds and a toolset learned in therapy. Person, by my non-professional opinion, still seems to be doing well.)
would you be inclined to hand him some of his own office's literature on depression?
For values of "hand him" = to "shove up his ass", yes.
I'd get a doctor's excuse for your doctor, Raq. Then, hand it to him with his own literature. Asshat.
Tep, glad your dad is doing well, bar lack of sleep. Sounds like your visit has been TEH AWESOME.
And I keep meaning to put in punctation for Sean and S, but I think I've been infected by Cindy's Blackberry which seems to have an unreasonable dislike of the letter S. {{Sean and S}}
Teppy, I am so glad your dad is okay. Vermont sounds like so much fun! I want to see pics of the tattoo when available!
Glad your dad's okay, Tep.
b/c he never sleeps well in the hospital.
Neither does S.
Thanks for the further punctuation, peeps. I feel like that's all I do nowadays. It makes me feel selfish and stuff, and I don't like that. I'll try to occasionally post stuff that's not all about S being in the hospital all the time.
She's doing.... okay. Nothing too scary going on, but they need to treat some symptoms. It's really starting to look like this is going to be an ongoing thing until this all gets resolved, which may take a year or more.
It may also possibly involve us moving to a different part of the country, but that's a little questionable right now. Neither of us wants to move, but it might also be in her best interest. We have a lot of stuff to figure out, and everything moves much much slower than I am really happy with, but there's only so much that can be done to speed up the process.
