I can't believe the Crocodile Hunter died. Stingray to the heart? eesh. And why do I feel like he ought to have had, like, an auto accident, rather than dying in the "line of duty" as it were?

What? Steve Irwin died? Dang, that's awful. I know he was crazy and weird, but he really loved what he did.

Oh, wow. I hope you really enjoy it, and that it makes your life safer and a little more fun.

Well, I figured I’d always go straight for the throat; I suppose, as a teacher, I must model life-long learning, and find out how to do it as effectively as possible.

Teacher Erin – mean and efficient.

Erin- I'm sort of new here; alas, I didn't know there were Buffistas in Kansas City! (I'm assuming by KC you meant Kansas City.) I recently moved to Southern California from KC, where I was attending graduate school at UMKC.

Are there other KCistas?

Sonus, is that where you met ND, at the UMKC theatre seminar thingy? You didn’t happen to be at Fred P. Otts a year? Two? Ago when ND was in town?

Yeah, I live in KC, right on the Plaza. I went to UMKC for English and Ed degrees.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok, I am irrationally upset about Steve Irwin. I'm gonna go curl up and cry for a bit.

Me too, Aimee, me too. Illogical, but yet...

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dude, Aims! Me too!

I have no idea why Steve Irwin's death is making me want to curl up and suck my thumb, but it totally is.

I feel awful for his family. He seemed like he had all this enthusiasm, and would have been a great dad for his kids. And he really cared about stuff.

Weird.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I guess because he was an icon. Someone close to our age who seemed to be living an exciting life that we could escape into occasionally. We always knew there were dangers in what he did, but somehow we always expected him to be the one to beat the odds. His poor family, I feel so sorry for the wife and kids.

Our wings are not tired

That sucks! Steve Irwin dead! Totally sucks!

You didn’t happen to be at Fred P. Otts a year? Two? Ago when ND was in town?

I'm pretty sure he was there. Was that the night we were talking about the Hello Kitty vibrators?

Yup, that was the night!
