Ah, damn, Sean. Vibing for you and S. Let me know if you and she need a bookish care package.
ita, coming in very late, but I'm so very sorry. Marni sounds like an amazing woman, and everyone else has already said everything I could possibly say about grief and mourning and talking about it all as much or as little as you need to completely without apology. This time it's not just what scrappy said;
everyone
is wise and eloquent and kind. I'm just so sorry, for you and all the krav people and her family and her own good self.
eta: Vibing for Teppy too, and your dad, and I'm so glad you had Nora and Tom about for beer and company.

(If it's fixed, I made a print screen of it for later)
Sean, I hope S. gets to feeling better and coming home soon.
Well on the whole baby and wedding registration theory...
I just had to check for the baby shower I am attending this weekend and the information was not printed on the invite. Convienently there was another slip of paper inside letting me know where the registration could be found. Which is good. Cause it is for my sister. Sigh, yes, I probably should have already known.

Baby Name: Paolo and Ava [LastName]
Baby Gender: It's a surprise!
Yep, she's that bright... Unless she's naming the girl Paolo and the boy Ava. That would be a surprise.
I just finished reading
The Not so Big House
by Sarah Susanka. I've heard other people rave about her and I have to say I am really glad I read her book. She talks a lot about how you use space, what it is for and what you don't use. Just reading her book made me think about the fustrations I have with my house.
1) I have no place to bead thast is physically comfortable, not can I leave them out.
2) the best place for a group of musicains to play - is the same room with the television.
3) If Matt has someone over to do things like build a guitar or whatever, everytime they come thru the house - I feel like I have to pause the tv and be hostess.
Originally, my plan was to make a guest room/music room. now, we are thinking tv/ guest room and the living room becoming a reading/music room. We rarely watch tv with other people. we always have people over to hang or play music. and if I work it right both rooms could have areas for me to bead or do other projects. With the way we have guest - there might be a few instants where I would lose my tv longer than I'd like, but since we've moved in we have had guests four times. and only one was for more than a night. this is her web site

I can't believe the Crocodile Hunter died. Stingray to the heart? eesh. And why do I feel like he ought to have had, like, an auto accident, rather than dying in the "line of duty" as it were?
I just saw that and am in shock. Just - man. Wow.
