'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yay London! You're just a couple hundred miles south of me, RIGHT NOW! I'm waving, can you see?

You must go to the British Museum. Mmm, stuff...

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Poor GF caught my cold. It left me fairly quickly so I'm hoping she'll be better in a day or so. We're here until 9/10. I'm getting antsy to go do more, but GF is still sleeping.

Annoying thing: I can't seem to get mac.com to load. I need to check my email, dude!

ETA: We are totally going to the British Museum. Can't wait!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Snark at the their justification for keeping the Elgin marbles for me. And go across the street to the Museum pub.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Cindy}}} I hope you got a little bit of sleep.

GC, have fun in London! Go to the Victoria and Albert Museum if you get the chance, and if you want to have a truly wonderful afternoon tea, go to the Savoy. I hope your GF feels better soon.

Hey. New board.

Is that related to Modest Mouse?

Nope. 19th century Russian composer.

I am hangover-free, woo!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Gloomcookie, have a wonderful time! So much to see! Hope GF recovers quickly.

I had a terrible dream just before I woke and know I have marks from my fingernails gouged into my palms from clenching my fists in my sleep. I'm torn between wsnting to get that dream as far away from my head as I can and never think of it again, because it was awful to be in, and writing it down because it was certainly dramatic. Can't figure out where it came from, either - before bed was drinking wine, watching The Prisoner and talking about Hemmingway, Fitzgerald and Faulkner.

Huh, it's never before occurred to me that Mussorgsky had a first name. Weird.

I too am hangover-free, yay! despite the large amouont of seriously spiked fruit punch I drank at the baby-dedication/1-year-anniversary ceremony/luau yesterday.

I remember that it's my friend's sense of humor and ability to remain cheerful no matter what that keeps me liking her, despite her selfish petty moments that piss me off. Ernesto knocked out their power and flooded their basement, and poured rain on their party, and she and her hubby were laughing through the whole deal. My other friends and I sat at a table with some people I didn't know, and drank and chatted and played with baby, and it was fun.

I'm glad the party was fun, Zenkitty.
