Book: I believe I just... I think I'm on the wrong ship. Inara: Maybe. Or maybe you're exactly where you ought to be.

'Serenity'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Aimee hair shiny and pretty!

A priest that taught me and my 3 sibs in school admitted to having abused a student about 30 years ago or so. It crushed all of us, and a number of our friends. We adored this man. He was so very important to all of us. We found out a couple years ago and it still stings. It's very upsetting.

I believe sincerely that David would never intentionally say anything to upset vw. We all have each other's backs. Stress level seems a bit high, but I know people here care about each other deeply and don't intend to cause pain. I know this.

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

Feeling like John Kelly from Blue. "Is everyone okay with this?" Caruso was always asking that. That, and the cop-show standby "Help me help you," So, are we okay with this? Seriously, y'all, child of divorce. I can only watch my friends be upset with each other for(checks watch) five more minutes before I start acting like a total bitch as a diversion tactic. Nobody wants that.

Redder is always a good plan Ginger. I'm considering going red again. I was going to wait until I broke down and cut it shorter, but 2 neighbors convinced me today that I shouldn't cut. So red and long it shall be.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Seriously, David. Why did you throw that in there?

Because you wanted to know why I responded the way I did. I had a strong reaction to what vw said. I was trying to make my motive clear. It wasn't idle poking. I strongly felt that what she said was a dangerous misconception. It's entirely my fault that I broached that subject with her in a glib manner.

I was not trying to imply that vw was responsible for the kefuffle or my inapproriate tone.

I do still think her presumption is dangerously wrong. I don't feel like I'm pressing that argument because there's no argument there. Nobody is making the case that humans can sense evil in others.

I honestly don't know what planet you are from sometimes.

The planet of having better things to do on Saturday night.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm responsible for my behavior (including what I post) - not her reaction to it.

It's yelling, "Fire!" in the crowded theatre... Yes, you have free speech but say some things and you *are* responsible for the reactions. In this case, I feel you were out of line.

No it's not. It might've been insensitive, but it doesn't fall under that legalistic distinction. Else anything you said that was potentially upsetting to somebody else could be prohibited.

I wasn't arguing legalities so much as community responsibility. Sometimes we say things that upset other people, we apologize and move on. It would be nice if the apology were sincere. And if we could move on, actually.

Then by all means, go do it. Because what you are doing in here, isn't doing anyone any good at all.

Don't worry Aimee, I'm off to do them now.

It's slightly more exciting than my "Another Saturday night, and I ain't got nobody," planet. Although it's totally raining and hailing here, so I wouldn't be painting the town in any case.
