Why, for the love of god, would you wear something that makes you look not only bigger, but *shapelessly* bigger? I hated dolman sleeves in the 80s, and 25 years has not changed that feeling one iota.

Because all that cloth moving around feels nifty? I loved the faintly military look. Plus I loved loose clothing because it minimized the blatant consideration of my breasts by strangers (now that I'm over-40 and fat, I don't seem to have that problem :))

Okay, all the parts of 80s fashion that make up the basics of gothwear. Fine, I admit it.)
However, most of the 80s revivial seems intent on bringing back the less-than-flattering bits of 80s fashion. I keep waiting for the return of the stretchy dresses that were fitted through the bust and waist, but had full knee-length skirts. As soon as those come back, I'm stocking up.
Well people tend to wear those baggy tops with skinny trousers, so they've got shape on one part, and looseness on the other. Plus, when its with skinny jeans, you know the body under the big ol' sleeves is a size 6 anyway. What's an American size 6? A 2 or something? Must go check...

I’m home from the big meeting. It went very, very well. I’m encouraged, yet pessimistic. If nothing else, I’ve been validated that I’ve legally been treated wrongly. And, I’ve written a very big check to the nice lawyer man to retain his services to stick it to the man.
