They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

DJ makes an excellent point. Also I'm working very hard to translate this:

rainy, windy, and generally miserable

into "cooler temps, a lovely breeze, and fluffy clouds", thankyouverymuch.

Someone responded, "That sounds complicated, and it might be too scary. We don't want them to be scared."

Oh, right, Halloween. Wouldn't want anything scary.

I really hate people sometimes.

Timelies.

I want someone to build me a lovely scary haunted house. Scary = fun. WTF people.

Also? Happy September, everyone. May it be as kind as August was not.

Edit: Cool number

brillig

5th anniversary of 9/11. Election year. Why must two of my favorite shows be on Fox, where I have to see the commercials for Fox "News"? Time to learn to love the VCR and the fast-forward button.

Punishingly Intricate

Regardless of the tradition of having a baptism, dedication or whatever, I don't get going to a party of someone who is not your friend.

I feel bad about August sucking so bad for so many people since it is my birth month. And my August was pretty good overall. My birthday weekend (and really the celebrations are still going on .. I am very spoiled) was crazy and fun. I am now making a list of things I want to do before I am 40 just so I can put a couple of things on it that I can already cross off. I love doing that with a list.

May September bring joy to all! So far it has brought me allergies!

Ann, that's a ferret.

cooler temps, a lovely breeze, and fluffy clouds

I'll give you the first, as long as you're thinking of cooler daytime highs and not nighttime lows.

Mostly lurking...

Ok...making a list of issues to discuss with the lawyer today. What's missing?

• Continuous lack of notice given to come into apartment
• Damage to items while painting and spackling/refinishing the floors, especially considering no notice was given
• Disappearance of items taken down off walls while filling in nail holes
• Handling of Security Deposit
• Lack of window coverings
• Continuous half-done “fixing” of problems

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Todd, Glad you're feeling better, and glad you're back.

I missed the joint meara and Jen birthday, so I'll wish both of them happy belatedly--and may the year be your best so far!

I'll take the rainy and windy as long as "cooler" comes with it. The rain is actually a nice break from the unrelenting sun and heat, at least for me.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Continuous lack of notice given to come into apartment

Particularly after you explicitly told them in writing that they needed to give you 24 hours' notice.

What's missing?

Sanding floors, etc., that aggravated your asthma, which is no small thing for you, given your recent(ish) history of asthma that refused to get better.
