S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Hee! That's very true. I bet Adrien had a kick-ass time with that. And the boys had a hell of a time teasing him for it.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I've watched the first two episodes of John from Cincinnati and I can't decide if I like it or not. Some of the acting is awkward in a David Mamet sort of way (John, Ed O'Neil's character, the new motel owner), but I'm intrigued enough by the where-the-hell-is-this-going-to-go-ishness of the premise that I think I'll stick with it for a while. Plus, I read co-creator's Kem Nunn's novel "Tapping the Source" around 20 years ago and really liked it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I've got those two backed up on my DVR, but I hope to get to them this week so they don't pile up (like my RICHES have).

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

For yet another HBO series, I got about halfway through the first episode of John from Cincinnati, and I couldn't figure out why I was supposed to like any of the characters, and then I gave up on it.

Some of the acting is awkward in a David Mamet sort of way (John, Ed O'Neil's character, the new motel owner),

As a side note, Ed O'Neil is in fact a Mamet alum, from The Spanish Prisoner, if nothing else.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I haven't seen any episodes yet, but David Milch has a whole lot of goodwill from me he'd have to burn off.

JfC is very...strange. How can they live where they live and have only one Hispanic character? I'm not sure I understand the point. It's interesting, just not captivating.

Also, these people are far too angry to be surfers. I mean really.

Thrive to spite them

I finally watched the first two episodes of Entourage. I'm not sure if I like it yet but I'm willing to finish off the other episodes on the disc and see how I feel. I want to like it because I've heard good things but it's definitly not flail at first sight.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Also on the fence about JfC. I'll stick it out for another one or two but so far it's only okay. Certainly not worth dumping Deadwood for.
