It is pretty impressive how they've been able to put together strong programming over the last six years. I remember (she says, waving her cane) when it was literally nothing but re-runs. So it's a pleasant surprise that they've managed to do such edgy programming for a cable station.
I remembered something else awesome about this week's Riches--the look on Cael's face when he realised his girl was betraying him. That was some damn fine acting. He went through a whole range of emotions without saying a word, which is pretty impressive given his age.
Oh, yeah all the young actors are really amazing.
TWOP has posted a recap of the first episode of The Wire. MAN! Now that's a job I would want.
wrod...totally pulling up the orange couch and those "tight" chicken nuggets...of course Ronald's clowny ass ain't gonna pay you for that shit.
I wonder whose birthday I forget to fit in all the Simonverse quotes, y'all.
Sorry if it's yours...it's nothing personal.
All in the game.
There's discussion in Bureaucracy about the expansion of this thread for those who haven't seen it.
Yeah...Burrell's wet dream, much?
Although not exactly...they forgot the dots. Burrell loves the dots.
(Can we please call the next Bureau thread that, please? I might go in without shuddering.)
Not the wet dream thing, like
Bureau 4: The Major Loves The Dots.
So after three eps, The Tudors is officially disappointing.
I think my main issue with it is that, unlike Rome, the creators seem to have no interest in creating dramatically interesting reasons for historical events to occur. Everything that's happened has happened because that's the way the history went -- these characters don't seem to have any relationships or motivations of their own, as people. Makes it very frustrating to watch.
Oh, Jessica, that's good reasoning. I was wondering why it wasn't pinging my radar as hard, but that's spot-on.
I'll probably watch it, just 'cause it's like eight episodes or something. But probably not for a second season if they were inclined to get one.
Every time I think about it now, all I think of is "HENRY THE ROCKSTAR!!" in an arena-rock sort of feeling.
Anyone watching the last 9 Sopranos?
