Oh, PS, who's going to be watching The Tudors? Other than, obviously, me? Because Jonathan Rhys Meyers = must see tv for me.

As Jeremy Northam goes, so goes my nation.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Right! THAT's the other show I meant to do that thing to!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, ha: Baltimore: Why Are You So Depressing?

Always Anti-fascist!

You know, that had me going for a second because of Baltimore's for-real slogan hunt, occasioned by the fact that the city fathers don't like Charm City being known as "Oh, yeah, that place Homicide is from," anymore. They credit Simon with destroying the city's image. So I was all bracing to read about economic development and the Inner Harbor and stuff and-- psych!

Anyone have an opinion on The Tudors? I have to admit, after Rome, it was a bit of a tepid start. But JRM really prowled all over that screen, which was pleasant to watch. Sam O'Neill makes a very subtle Wosley, but I wonder if they aged him for the role or if he actually *is* that old, which would be surprising. Northam was quite good as well.

D'oh! I was so proud of managing to watch both the Vampire and Wizard Detective Shows last night AND get my mile and a third walk in, but I forgot all about the premiere of The Tudors! At least it re-airs a couple times tonight...

And matt, I think you can still stream it online from showtime's website.

I've got the first three eps on DVD, but I haven't found time to watch them yet. Maybe tonight.

Slate described JRM's performance as not exactly dialled in. More dictated to a secretary who faxed it over after her lunch break.

Somewhat apt. But it's no less pretty for it.
