The Bran scene seemed weird. Or is he permanently sort of weird now that he's the ... whatever?
you mean, the "so sorry you were raped, but you looked so pretty in your white dress."

Targaryens routinely married siblings. Aunt and nephew is practically a distant relation, especially as his mother is entirely outside of the bloodline.
I thought the same, but then it gets kind of incesty.
Not just kind of...Dany is Jon's Aunt.

Yes, thanks for the reminder. I had that sitting in an unread tab. There are so many pieces that need to come together. Soon.

So, I've never watched Got. Is it worth slogging through all the horrible gore to get to the awesome powerful women part that seems to be coming up now? Because honestly, powerful women with Personal Agendas (and dragons) is all I'd be in it for.
I started watching this season, but I had read the books so I had some background. I think it would still be enjoyable with no historical context.
Zen - I got through all the Seasons last summer. I do think it is worth it, having never read any of the books, but the fighting stuff didn't bother me.
There's also plenty of Powerful Women stuff even at the beginning. Not across the board, but that's human.
