Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, I'm not enjoying the grossness to food cuts they've been doing.

I assume Jon will make it to Dragonstone...less sure Dany will still be there, what with her plans getting significantly derailed. I wonder if Theon will have made it back...that would be...awkward.

Also interesting that it looks like it'll be Sansa in charge when Arya arrives at Winterfell. If she does get there, then I'm pretty sure that qualifies as Brienne's win condition. Unless Littlefinger screws it up for everyone.

Anyone else have the thought that the Missandei/Grey Worm scene sounded a lot like fic?

They're certainly tying up the loose ends they can while they can (Nymeria, Hot Pie). The end is, indeed, nigh.

I was remarkably short of fucks about the ship battle.

Because books.

The ship battle felt sort of tacked-on and overly frantic, especially when the rest of the episode sort of dragged.

I couldn't look at the grayscale scene at all, although kudos to Sam for attempting it. (And Ser Jorah for surviving it, I guess.)

I'm just heartbroken that Nymeria didn't go with Arya. I mean, I'm glad she didn't kill her, but I wanted more happy!reunion!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I was remarkably short of fucks about the ship battle.

Honestly, of all the plot points I want them to be focusing on in the end game, Jorah Mormont's greyscale and Greyjoy Family Drama were not at the top of my list.

Why not send Sansa to Dragonstone? Leave Jon in the North where he needs to be doing military stuff, send the Crown Princess of the North to negotiate diplomacy. EXCEPT THAT JON SNOW IS THE LEE ADAMA OF THIS UNIVERSE AND DOES NOT MAKE GOOD DECISIONS EVER.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Yeah, I'm not enjoying the grossness to food cuts they've been doing.

I will not be pleased if that's a thematic choice they're going for this season.

I'm just heartbroken that Nymeria didn't go with Arya.

I am a big sap and teared up at that. But then, Arya is my ironclad woobie for this show, closely followed by Sam.

EXCEPT THAT JON SNOW IS THE LEE ADAMA OF THIS UNIVERSE AND DOES NOT MAKE GOOD DECISIONS EVER.

At this point, every time Jon makes a decision, I start muttering "NOW DO THE OPPOSITE".

Our wings are not tired.

There were a lot of people in this episode!!

Varys remains a favorite along with Tyrion for their abilities to talk.

Sam treating Jorah is so Sam, and so very cringe worthy.

I think I am looking forward to the upcoming scenes with Sansa and Arya as much as those with Jon and Dany. These can go so many different ways.

Mostly it made me anxious to see what is next. This whole watching one episode a week thing is rare for me, and a bit frustrating.

eta: and yeah, they can quit with the whole flash from gore to gory food thing any time please

I subscribed to the NYT GoT newsletter [link] and so far the best line..

Until then, live every day like you're Euron boarding a ship.

From Ask a Maester:

the Stark wolves took on the personalities of their human companions. Robb Stark's Grey Wind dominated the battlefield, playing a crucial role in many of the late King in the North's victories. Rickon's Shaggydog was high-strung and unpredictable and presumably could only run in straight lines. Sansa's Lady was docile and trusting. Bran's Summer was the most magical. And Jon's Ghost is constantly locked in a closet, alone and sad.
