Punishingly Intricate

it was the lead-out on a story about internment camps for undocumented immigrants. I was all NOT THAT KIND OF CAMP

Those camps are horrible (of course) but that's kind of funny. Which pretty much sums up Deadwood.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Just saw William Bullock pass into the great beyond last night. Usually that kind of protracted death of a child makes me resentful, but they did a really good job with it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That conversation was right up there with "It's not me you want to screw, it's Angel."

Did Pullo have the same sort of "Uh oh! I thought I was hiding it better" look upon hearing that as Lindsey did?

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Anyone remember that show The Wire?

We’re talking the “Dr. Strangelove” of police procedurals here.

Simon & Burns shifting focus to Iraq.

Thanks, Corwood, for the fannish methadone. And I bet Simon and Burns will capture Iraq, too.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I plan on finishing off the second season of The Wire tonight. I think I have the third season stored on my husband's desktop, which has conveniently decided that it needs a new battery of some sort and will not give my TV shows until I get said battery for it. It's a wiley one.

Oh well, still hopeful that I will be able to catch up and watch a season in real time.

Always Anti-fascist!

The second season will always have a special place in my heart, even if Frank made me cry all the time.

It's been really good. Though events conspired to put a 2 week + break in my viewing between "Storm Warnings" and "Bad Dreams", so last night I had to keep pausing so I could try to remember why Nick wasn't home for the warrant and why Stringer wanted the Brother Mouzon dead and stuff like that. It mostly came back to me. I think I'm up to speed, now.

I hope you enjoy it. The last episode of S2 was the first one I saw, and it sure as hell spurred me to go back and catch up, like, immediately.

Always Anti-fascist!

I started watching with Season 2 as well and was really gripped(no, duh, right) even when I thought of characters as things like Wise Older Cop With Glasses. That's kind of an achievement, don't you think?
