Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I tried watching the first ep, but kept getting distracted by random things. Haven't decided if a rewatch will help

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I watched the pilot episode last night. Honestly, if not for the King in Yellow connection I wouldn't be interested in watching any more; neither McConaughey's nor Harrelson's performances are captivating me.

It took me a while to get into the first season but I was glad I stuck with it. I guess that means I should try again with this season.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't think I started watching the first season until we were 4 or 5 episodes in and then caught up all at once. Maybe I will do that again. I am not as interested in seeing LA County as I was in southern Lousiana, though.

Art Crawl!!!

I watched the second episode of season 2 yesterday. Got into a conversation with my counselor about it and realized I had somehow missed the VERY important development in the final 5 minutes of the episode.

I just got home and ff'ed to the last five minutes and was, like, ADD brain - really? Couldn't stay on task for Five More Minutes!??

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I finally watched the Penny Dreadful finale last night. GRIMDARK SHOW OF MY HEART.

I'm actually looking forward to Dorian's story next season, because Lily/Brona is going to encourage the worst in him, whoo!

Vanessa. Vanessa darling, you accepted your ascendancy over Amun-Ra. REVEL IN YOUR BADASS SELF, LAY WASTE TO THOSE WHO THWART YOU. Also, go to America and get Ethan out of whatever mess he's going to be stuck in, because he's going to need help.

Am I a bad person for hoping Sembene comes back from the dead? Partially because I'm pissed that the show killed him off, partially because I want Malcolm to be stuck with an implacable, undead conscience who will call Malcolm on his shit.

Yay! This season was so dark and creepy! I was wondering what you thought of it.

I'm actually looking forward to Dorian's story next season, because Lily/Brona is going to encourage the worst in him, whoo!

Agreed! But I was so sad when he killed Angelique.

Yes, please. Own your powers. I really thought there was going to be a big reveal that the detective was a classic horror character, and I was trying to think of any one armed Victorian characters.

Am I a bad person for hoping Sembene comes back from the dead? Partially because I'm pissed that the show killed him off, partially because I want Malcolm to be stuck with an implacable, undead conscience who will call Malcolm on his shit.

If this is bad, I don't want to be good. There was a hint that there was so much more to be explored about his character.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I'm not sure where to ask this but this seems a good place to start. I'm trying to get HBO Now but can't figure out how to do it on a laptop.

The site says I can use my laptop to watch but when I go to iTunes to download the app it's only for iPhone or iPad. I've downloaded both but then nothing happens.

I tried signing into the HBO site but there is no "register here" note. I tried signing in with my Apple ID and they don't recognize it. I can't find any real help on their site or Apple.

Has anyone else tried this? I'm going to ask this here and in Tech and Natter until someone answers.
