We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

In re: Outlander.

I agree. I was worried...as a true fan is...about the lead casting, but am so impressed, even down to the minor characters.

I'm a little sad over the casting of Mrs. Fitzgibbons because I actually saw that actress in my mind for Mrs. Bugg, much later in the series.

Sam Hueghen's voice is so perfect, I can hardly believe it. My only quibble with Caitriona Balfe is that her hair should be a bit bushier and her bum a bit wider. She's a little too gamine for my imagining of Claire.

The Leftovers. This is interesting. Has the poem Patti recited as well as a theory about what's real/not real. (I missed the bag of poo that apparently happened, not that that's critical. Also lists what's in the book and not. )http://www.pajiba.com/tv_reviews/does-the-wb-yeats-poem-patti-recited-in-the-leftovers-hint-at-answers-to-a-larger-mystery.php

I'm sorry to hear how much is not Tom Perrata. I was hoping the story was going to be in good hands. As far as it being an excellent mood piece, might have to go back to acceoting that alone. The Guest ep had me hoping for a good, to be revealed story.

Masters of Sex. What the eff is going on with Libby? We are to understand this fixation of hers is a result of her lackluster sex life with Bill? Or a twisted pure racism? Poor Coral, except she's prob better off not being there subjected to Libby's increasingly awful behavior. So is that guy the brother or not? Was Coral effing with her?

Poor DePaul. I've started reading the book. Guess I'll see what's up at Sepinwall. In case you're a fan of the show, Thomas Maier is participating in the comment section.

True Blood. Everyone's getting paired off for their happy ever after. The question is if Skookie dies or if Bill stays undead. Maybe they end up buried together and Jason moves into the house.

True Blood: Arlene is my new favorite character. I'm liking her coping skills.

Outlander: I watched the "Just Seen It" review on hulu and was struck by something the non-fans said about the pilot. They complained that there was not enough drama/fear/pushback from Claire about falling through time .

I suppose that's true and, if I were not so familiar with the story (read: memorized) it probably would not make sense. Still, relistening to the first book...YEARS and YEARS after the first listen, it just seems a natural progression. Claire is mighty level headed and I'm not sure what good freaking out would do. In her shoes I wouldn't be overly flaily either!

I do think the series is doing a bit better job of representing the tension over her being a spy in Dougal and Column's eyes . That was a bit too breezy in the book.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

True Blood: Well, that wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it may have actually been worse. I did love the wedding, though. And the infomercial.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Huh. Well, that's done.

Again, -t speaks for me.

It feels like the writers just gave up. Which is, I suppose, appropriate since I did too.

What a let down, though the infomercial was funny. They could totally have done without the subsequent scene with Sarah. I feel like I've seen that before in this season.

Also, if it was so easy to get past the Yakuza why'd it take so damn long?

Meh to infinity.

Eh, they wanted to wrap up the core cast. Couk have one without the Sarah scene although it was fun to see that other person again.

The Leftovers was the best yet. I like this ep and The Guest the best. It was every one's daily life right up to and only a few seconds into the disappearances. Loved it. OMG Patti!!

"We have trust issues." Mylar

True Blood: Awful but now it's over and I feel happy that I just got out of a horrible relationship!

The Leftovers: This is the first time that I feel like I actually kind of understand what this show is about. I have been watching it mainly because I've been DVR'ing it but I think now I might watch because I'm actually somewhat interested in these people and their lives. And it only took until the penultimate episode of S1. Thanks, guys!
