True Blood. Everyone's getting paired off for their happy ever after. The question is if Skookie dies or if Bill stays undead. Maybe they end up buried together and Jason moves into the house.

Premium Cable: The Cursing Costs Extra
[NAFDA] A thread for the discussion of all original programming on HBO, Showtime, Starz and other premium channels.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
True Blood: Arlene is my new favorite character. I'm liking her coping skills.
Outlander: I watched the "Just Seen It" review on hulu and was struck by something the non-fans said about the pilot. They complained that there was not enough drama/fear/pushback from Claire about falling through time .
I suppose that's true and, if I were not so familiar with the story (read: memorized) it probably would not make sense. Still, relistening to the first book...YEARS and YEARS after the first listen, it just seems a natural progression. Claire is mighty level headed and I'm not sure what good freaking out would do. In her shoes I wouldn't be overly flaily either!
I do think the series is doing a bit better job of representing the tension over her being a spy in Dougal and Column's eyes . That was a bit too breezy in the book.
True Blood: Well, that wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it may have actually been worse. I did love the wedding, though. And the infomercial.
Huh. Well, that's done.
Again, -t speaks for me.
It feels like the writers just gave up. Which is, I suppose, appropriate since I did too.
What a let down, though the infomercial was funny. They could totally have done without the subsequent scene with Sarah. I feel like I've seen that before in this season.
Also, if it was so easy to get past the Yakuza why'd it take so damn long?
Meh to infinity.
Eh, they wanted to wrap up the core cast. Couk have one without the Sarah scene although it was fun to see that other person again.
The Leftovers was the best yet. I like this ep and The Guest the best. It was every one's daily life right up to and only a few seconds into the disappearances. Loved it. OMG Patti!!
True Blood: Awful but now it's over and I feel happy that I just got out of a horrible relationship!
The Leftovers: This is the first time that I feel like I actually kind of understand what this show is about. I have been watching it mainly because I've been DVR'ing it but I think now I might watch because I'm actually somewhat interested in these people and their lives. And it only took until the penultimate episode of S1. Thanks, guys!
Is there a way to read white font on a tablet/no mouse?
I'm not sure what we're supposed to make of the deer. Is it in the book, I wonder, or is it the polar bear for this show. I wouldn't expect animals to be affected by this phenomenon although apparently dogs have been altered- or is it just that many were abandoned? The deer behavior is ridiculous. Maybe an elk, remotely. Where are cats in all of this? I'm overthinking the animals, clearly.
We know Kevin told Laurie what he was doing when It happened, but I don't think she ever told him, that we know. Patti and Laurie's prior connection, I wonder if Kevin knows about that. He must have known but you'd think he'd have alluded to it by now if he did, and he hasn't, so. All Patti said is, there was a time when I told her everything, and then a time when Laurie told me everything. I'm gonna be pissed off if it comes down to that idiotic trope of people who are close failing to communicate with each other.
Must've been nice for Janelle Maloney to get some lines. She was so good on West Wing. Scott Glenn was good as usual. Don't know the actor playing the mayor but she's very good and I like her character. Amanda Warren. Ann Dowd has been in so many good things lately - this, Masters of Sex, and that was her in the house in the last ep of True Detective. She's got a Margo Martindale thing going on. (Can't wait for The Americans!) Carrie Coon is the breakout talent on this show, I think. She's so good in every scene. Margaret Qually's been very good. Nice to see Jill being a normal kid at the science Fair.
Next week's gonna be awful. Whatever's going on in that empty church, that the Guilty Remant's up to, it isn't going to be pretty.
My cable company is listing The Knick as premium cable. Discussing where, here, yah?
I've only watched about 15 minutes of the first ep but I was so skeeved by his not wearing socks, more so than what he was doing between his toes! Matt Frewer is getting around, nice to see him here and Orphan Black, fid as long as that lasted! (Early fandoms - The Prisoner, Family, Star Trek TNG, Twin Peaks, Max Headroom). Heck of a beard!
HBO offered free samples, so (not having time for whole season) watched last episode. My response was 'well that that was stupid." I did like Sookies line which summed up much of the stupidity. You know, the one where she plantively sniffles "You haft to die cause I got no self-respect?"
I may have time to watch one ep from the last season other than the final. Are there any I should bother with?
P.S. So far am loving Outlander. Never read the books. Normally I don't like first person narrative in film. But the combination of the writing and the delivery makes it as though a smart and self-aware old friend is telling me this, without justifying or minimizing where she screwed up, but not hating herself for her mistakes either.
