Inara: So. Would you like to lecture me on the wickedness of my ways? Book: I brought you some supper, but if you'd prefer a lecture, I've a few very catchy ones prepped. Sin and hellfire... one has lepers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, she doesn't need to be blonde. I hate that look on her.

Because books.

I love her as a brunette. Plus, ink and attitude. Mmm.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

(Almost) every character on Orange Is The New Black as they appeared on Law & Order:

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

NYC has a deep pool of actors to choose from!

(You could also probably cross-reference appearances on White Collar and The Good Wife.)

I always look for the L&O credit when I go to Broadway shows, too.

this woman, who has basically played a different maid in every single episode of the Law and Order franchise

I hated not needing to know the actress is or looked Hispanic.

I'm not far enough into OITNB for that be the most informing article, but my favourite is just looking for previous L&O credits on L&O. New York--almost like the UK, acting pool wise, and half as many accents.

But nobody is reduced, recycles, an re-uses like Canada! Especially Vancouver. I met the Vancouver Theatresports travelling team a couple times, and just up to yesterday I was pointing one out on something new (the biggest I remember them getting was one of the Lone Gunmen--the cool one, natch).

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I once noticed the same woman playing "grandmother who had no idea her grandson was dealing drugs/guns out of her apartment" in something like three or four different L&O episodes. She had a whole bunch of scenes in at least two of them, and I happened to see them back-to-back in reruns.

Art Crawl!!!

They could gather all her characters and have her play her own support group.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I suppose it's too much to ask that she actually be a recurring Fagin-esque ringleader who runs a motley crew of teenage drug dealers/gunrunners while maintaining plausible deniability?

Because books.

Oh man, now I want to listen to Oliver!
