'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I do believe that's right from the book, FWIW.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I cheered when the one giant went down, and then I felt bad because there don't seem to be many of them left.

I was a bit sad about the giants, I have to admit.

The SCYTHE, wow. Nasty, but effective!

Ygritte getting one more "you know nothing" in before she died...eh, she's earned it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The scythe was awesome.

Ygritte's last line - kind of inevitable, wasn't it?

As for Penny Dreadful - I hate Vanessa's backstory. Meh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

she's earned it.

She brought up the cave in the first place. It seemed a petty way to go out with a guy you'd just been espousing warm sentiment for.

Someone on IO9 seemed to be talking from the book said that the giants are done--two was all they had. But I have no idea if that was true.

I did yell Oliphaunts! And then had Sam thoughts, although he doesn't really have a Frodo, then as he sat there with no concern for self-preservation with the guy Ygritte speared, I thought of him as a comfortador. And then he went badass--he's the Zeppo.

Oh.

Because books.

It seemed a petty way to go out with a guy you'd just been espousing warm sentiment for.

It came across as the kind of shorthand people in love sometimes have, not as an actual insult. For me, anyway.

To me it either sounded like a dispassioned reprimand or basically fanservice. Nothing organic about it at all.

Really? Sounded like an endearment sort of thing to me.

Enh, we disagree. I think it's so overused I only laugh when I hear it.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

So, in a fit of procrastination, I am doing a Bragging Rights Prediction Pool for the GoT finale.

By necessity, there are pretty major spoilers for the books.
