hip deep in pie

She becomes more sympathetic in the later episodes.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Ok. I mean, I was going to watch anyway, but that is good to hear.

Always Anti-fascist!

I like the Newsroom, but as a journalism grad, I should LOVE it. The fact that even I, Sorkin's target audience sort of @@ tells me everything about that show.(And I didn't keep HBO to keep watching it.) True Blood completely alienated me last year with the vamp holy war.

Thought the fiends in here would enjoy this little interview with the actor who played Clay Davis. [link]

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Caught up with the last two episodes of Newsroom. Psycho Sloan continues to be my favorite regular character, but I am really enjoying Marcia Gay Harden as the ACN lawyer. Which brings up a somewhat sad point -- Between her, Hope Davis as Will's gossip columnist not!girlfriend, and of course Jeff Daniels himself, that's 3/4 of the original Broadway cast of God of Carnage.

Since the last quarter of the cast was already a money-maker for HBO, we are sadly left only to imagine what part James Gandolfini would have played on Newsroom, were he still with us.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Those aren't the real dates--the fan that created them apparently grabbed something out of thin air.

Anyone made it through more than three minutes of Hello Ladies?

Not javachik

Yup, the entire first episode. It's Stephen Merchant! But yeah, did not make me laugh. It's kind of like the early years of HIMYM, if early years means set in the 80's, only starred a Ted who was inept and not terribly intelligent, with no Robin, Lily, Marshall, or Barney.

I really like Merchant, but the degree of humiliation was too intense for me. I need to remember he's a long time collaborator of Gervais and that I don't really like Gervais' work all that much. Liking the dude Merchant isn't going to be enough, is it?

Duh.
