There's a line something like "I should know better by now" after that.

Premium Cable: The Cursing Costs Extra
[NAFDA] A thread for the discussion of all original programming on HBO, Showtime, Starz and other premium channels.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
But they still make the joke about the next seasons. You can only milk that so far, and that ultra coy fake fakeout was way past the sell by.
"Boobs. So many boobs."
I think this is interesting discussion about her character;s nudity in GoT: [link] I wonder why not a merkin? Are we all pretending adult women just show up that way?
Apparently Oona Chaplin says she had no problem doing nude scenes as long as they honour the female form. What does that have to do with the story being told?
I do agree with the general disgruntlement about how much more we see of women than men--subjectively I feel like we even see more topless women than shirtless men, which is kinda ridic.
Sometimes I think that SNL skit may have had something to it: [link]
I wish it were a direwolf puppy though! :-)
I was actually whetted for something more sadistic.
Well, and fictional.
I noticed the teeniest thing in the episode where Cersei threatens to kill Maergary. When Maergary says the Castermeres are "gone", Cersei says it's a delicate word for slaughter.
Shortly after that is a scene where Joffrey was giving Sansa away to Tyrion, and his explanation is that her father is "gone". Ick. Own your shit, boy.
I read people saying this past True Blood was a flashback to the good times.
Well, it did seem to be arguing that vampires and people around them have bad wigs, but I'm not sure what was good about it. Is that true? This is what it was like when it was good? That might help me stop, but god help me, I like Lafayette so much and he has NO PLOTLINE OF HIS OWN. Why does he settle for magical negro?
And why haven't humans done this to vampires before? Not only are they empath free, it's clear they'll put their urge to win so high up that they'd destroy their own race with it--much faster than us.
I would like to think enhanced senses and extended life would help me be wiser, but how can you be a powerful member of one community and jump right into what's clearly killer musical chairs? How is everything that Pam (Pam?) told the "therapist" not going to be immediately used to destroy their species? Without the sire bond, would they have enough survival instinct to last this long? Jesus.
The redheaded vamp just now wonders if they're awful. I'm going to assume they are biologically incapable of introspection, and the fairies she killed (again, how do they not wipe one or the other of these species out???? Do we have anything in our true fauna that predators will gorge on them beyon sensibility? Other than himans--with sapience comes the capability for deep stupidity.) are what's letting her have this insight.
Oh, and real sneaky not having Sookie in the promo for next week. I will give them an internet dollar and a slow clap if they play her off the stage.
Family Tree is great except I would cause brain trauma to the sister. I am not good with indulging breaks from reality like that--they make me a nasty bitch. It's on the record.
OK, having just finished the season, I'm not sure I'm getting the objection here. Would it be just as bad if it was a ventriloquist doll as opposed to a monkey puppet? Because this reminds me of Jody on SOAP more than anything.
And, actually, the monkey is usually right on the money.
