Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is there a scale on which we can quantify how stupid everyone in Bon Temps needs to be in order to "move" the "plot" "along"?

I nuked my season pass, but it was on when I came home, so I looked, and...I don't know how I would get on the side of anyone. The most compelling thing was making bets with myself if there was going to be a werenip slip--fuzzy mons, but cheap on the areolae.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I don't know about a scale, but Jason continues to be the most stupid character on TV.

Truth. He makes Scott McCall look like Niccolo Machiavelli.

He just didn't feel too much stupider than everyone else. Everything felt arbitrary.

He makes Scott McCall look like Niccolo Machiavelli.

He makes Derek Hale look like...well, still not that great--he is Derek, after all--but at least Scott McCall has a plan that worked to his name. Derek can't even get a straight teenaged virgin girl to plight her troth to him.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

At this point, I'm not sure True Blood had rails to go off of. I enjoy the crazypants bananatown-ness of it, but no, I don't care about any of the characters.

That was weird, the werewolf women walking around with their hair glued to their breasts. I wonder what the reason for that was.

I don't really get the sense that Derek is stupid exactly, so much as so emotionally damaged that he flails around and makes horrible impulsive decisions. The brainpower is there, he's just a terrible judge of character.

I'm willing to call someone who regularly and shamelessly makes impulsive and incorrect decisions stupid. Certainly more stupid than the guy who succeeds (I haven't seen yesterday yet, but so far, Scott's pretty good at being a werewolf. Derek just hasn't died yet.).

I don't remember if the text called Derek or his plans stupid, but Deaton sure did burn one of the two.

That was weird, the werewolf women walking around with their hair glued to their breasts

I had thought that maybe they didn't have contracts like those--didn't it take the redhead a long time to show her breasts? But by the time they;d shown a long shot with crotch, it seemed even weirder.

Didn't help me be able to tell them apart either.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

True Blood is really just so bad now. It used to be a fun show. What happened to the fun? I guess we are supposed to laugh at Arlene and Terry and Andy and their pack 'o fae, but really? That story was tired before tired was even a thing. I enjoyed the two seconds of Lafayette and the fact that he watches Dance Moms because of course he would! Other than that, I pretty much hated everyone.

Jason makes me so sad because at one point, the show seemed to actually be doing something with his character and he became slightly awesome and now he's back to S1-2 levels of stupid and racist.
