I liked the TV movie. I haven't seen Michael Douglas disappear into a character in forever.
And, fuck a mother, Rob Lowe must have been majorly uncomfortable, if not in pain. Sheesh.

Having fallen down the rabbit hole of GoT cast videos, I have to say that it is almost depressing how reliable it is that non-US interviews are fantastic, and US interviews are mind-numbingly stupid.

We have such lowered expectations, it gives me a sad. Not that I watch that particular show, but I do think that's why most David Simon interviews are titled things like "Why Is This Millionaire So Angry?" Because at some ill-defined point that generally escapes the interviewer's notice for a few paragraphs he decides they're morons. Which gives them two things to write about: cursing and the fact that he generally appears to sleep in his clothes. Also, in journalism school we are quite explicitly taught to write as though our audience has not graduated from the eighth grade.

HBO had a teaser thing where Rob Lowe was talking about how unpleasant it was. Serious taping under his wig, painful. When he'd lean back and just look at them before the scene was cut - comedy gold.
I'm glad SHO let The Big C end the series. After the first season, which was terrific, it was never knock-your-socks off tv, but the actors and characters are all very likeable. I'm glad they stuck to their guns; it was a good ending.
I'm enjoying Nurse Jackie also. Bringing Eddie back - pretty unlikely scenario, and yet they did a good job selling it. Zoe has been terrific this season - helping the ER doc with his likability issues is my favorite, but also helping Jackie, and the shower incident was pretty funny.
