Jamie and Brienne are my favorite! (book spoilers)
I love the completely unromantic (because neither of them would ever admit to such a thing) pining that persists with both of them. They are two of the characters who I BADLY want in a room together before the end of this thing. I hope they get that right on the show, when we get there.
I can't decide what I want to happen when (I assume) Dany gets to Westeros.
Dumbass. I like it. Uncle Blackfish and Nephew Dumbass. Although, it lacks aquaticness (unless you pronounce it DumBass. Ha Ha. I'm so funny).
Oh! That was the other thing. Dunno if it was in the books, but it seemed like Theon's "Take off his pants" was a direct response to the "if rape is such a thing is these books, why is it that only the women are threatened with it?" criticism I've seen of Martin.
I find it very curious that on the show they've decided to have Mellisadre travel to the Hollow Hill to attend the trial of Sandor Clegane, but I can only assume they mean to have
Gendry take the place of Eldric Storm, so that he can be leeched, and the very sad and chilling scene of Stannis dropping the three leeches on the fire and pronouncing the names of "The Usurpers" will still happen.
Rhaegar fought valiantly. Rhaegar fought nobly. And Rhaegar died.
Oh, Podrick. (And I love the little inside joke about the "Mereeneese Knot")
Oh, Jamie Lannister. I think I may love your journey most of all.
And Missandei. She rocks. And don't question Daenrys Stormborn. She rocks also.
I love this show. And I would so totally buy that song and also The Rains of Castamere.
I can only assume they mean to have
Ohhhhhh, yes, you're probably right.
Podrick, I love him. I hope somewhere in the marginalia of this story, there's a ballad about him and his...talents. Who knows, maybe he'll be king by the time this is all over.
Rhaegar fought valiantly. Rhaegar fought nobly. And Rhaegar died.
But he was not the last dragon.
And Missandei. She rocks. And don't question Daenrys Stormborn. She rocks also.
"Valar Morghulis."
"Yes, 'All men must die.' But we are not men."
"It often comforts me to think that even in war's darkest days, in most places in the world, absolutely nothing is happening." --Brynden "Blackfish" Tully
