You got fired, and you still hang around here like a big loser. Why can't he?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

did you tell him about the incest?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Guess who now knows the big reveal?

The Big reveal is something else. He shouldn't have been arguing with you if he hadn't seen the whole season.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There was incest? I thought I got the incest newsletter...

What is the big reveal? I'd like to lord something over him.

It's weird, I have a portion of my brain devoted to "Is there anyone imaginary in this scenario?" while watching everything. No, that's not weird. What's weird is that everyone doesn't have that. Haven't we all seen both The Sixth Sense and something else with the same conceit? It just saves time, and helps you pick up on other details.

Deb decided she was in love with Dexter. They're technically not biologically related.

Deb walks in on Deb (to tell him she loves him) just as he is plunging the knife into the big bad in the last couple seconds of the season.

Oh, that's incest enough for me, thanks.

But now I can tell him I know another couple things he doesn't know. It will be both irritating and vindicating.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

OK- as we know from Natter I don't mind being spoiled, but whoah. I only watched the first season and I thought they had such good non-romantic chemistry.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Yeah, I'm so glad I gave up watching this season because that little tidbit would have put me WAY WAY off.

Just no.

Yeah, it was a bad decision by the writers imho, and I'm hoping that they back down from it and make it that the therapist was intentionally messing with her to make her reach that conclusion for some reason. I am looking forward to seeing what happens now that Deb has seen Dexter kill someone, but I don't want it all mixed up with the incesty stuff.

I *love* good sibling relationships--they're like catnip to me, but even incest overtones ruin all of that for me. You pretty much have to be a Lannister, and then I already hated you.

They did. I always gave the actors a lot of credit for being married in real life and being able to pull off a sibling chemistry with no romantic look to it at all, and now they actors are divorced and the writers decide that Deb has always been in love with Dexter? Not enough ick in the world.
