Well, since it's Torchwood, and based on Lauren Ambrose's character, who is supposed to be pharm rep and who is going to be chatting up Pullman's character for something, I can confidently say that...aliens are infiltrating the pharmaceutical industry?
Will cause humans to be wiped out within 4 months due to the whole famine things, and then they'll be able to easily turn Earth into a...day care? Sea farm? Alien spa?

The fact that Captain Jack is suddenly not healing from injuries makes me think that something may be... deflecting? diffusing? the energies that normally bolster his life force so that they affect the entire human race to a lesser degree instead. Whatever's doing it must be hellacously advanced and powerful to even partially undo Bad Wolf's handiwork.

Me three! I thought the whole episode was wonderful, but I want more Gwen and Jack, even though I find the other characters interesting as well. They made us wait 20 minutes for Captain Jack!

The only thing that took me out of the show when I watched it was Pullman's situation. I don't give a shit what the arguments were, they are not going to let out a pedophile murderer from prison. Further, wasn't it in Florida where they messed up and didn't execute people correctly and had to re-attempt? We have precedent for that here.
I would have preferred there be a different backstory for that prisoner.
Otherwise, I liked the rhythm okay. We will see if Jack has to sacrifice another relative though...
