Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, it wasn't particularly Torchwoody to start off with.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

A lot of set-up, ITA.

Which makes sense for the new audience, but the last 10 minutes were the most interesting.

Shutting up now until after official-like premiere so I can get into...stuff.

See, this is why people hate us.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Wow, was it just me, or was that feature film-level production quality?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Vortex, I noticed that, too.

It was strange to have a variety of newscasts--on Torchwood--all with American accents.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It's not playing well with my computer, so I guess I'll have to wait for DVD, but DAMN is Bill Pullman looking old. Or probably his age.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I thought Pullman was DeNiro for a second there.

Damn you, Angela Lansbury!

Any speculation about what's going on and why?

Well, since it's Torchwood, and based on Lauren Ambrose's character, who is supposed to be pharm rep and who is going to be chatting up Pullman's character for something, I can confidently say that...aliens are infiltrating the pharmaceutical industry?

Will cause humans to be wiped out within 4 months due to the whole famine things, and then they'll be able to easily turn Earth into a...day care? Sea farm? Alien spa?

So, far Mekhi P is not impressing me. And I freaking loved Gwen being a bad-ass mommy. EARMUFFS AND GUNS!
