I love how they gave Sansa a momentary notion of pushing Joffrey off that bridge.
Without spoiling too much from the later books... it would have saved so much trouble and been kinder, too.
Once again, my rule stands that if you discover you're in a GRRM story, your only sane option is immediate suicide.
Very true, Theo. But where would the fun for us be?
I'm reading the chat. . . (it's ending now) - people were suggesting that they cut the
RED WEDDING
Are they NUTS??
And it's not like
it would be in next season anyway.
Also - ridiculous casting suggestion:
Saffron Burrows for Melisandre
and excellent casting suggestion:
Phillip Glennister for Davos.
Chat replay - possibly spoilers for non-readers of all the books.
io9 has a clip of the Robb/Catelyn scene which I made the mistake of watching.
Now I'm crying.
Again.
I do love Catelynn with her "we will get your sisters back and THEN we will kill them all" comforting. When he says he wants to kill them all, he's just lashing out in grief, but she makes it real. Another great scene.
I should add that's the first time I've seen a dragon used as a fig leaf.
"we will get your sisters back and THEN we will kill them all"
Best. Ever. I like Cat more and more, although I can't quote forgive her treatment of Jon Snow.
I feel bad for Jon for how Cat treated him, but I can't really blame her for it. He's a living symbol of her husband's infidelity and she's supposed to welcome him into her family? That'd be hard for anyone, and being given no choice in the matter wouldn't help.
I get it but Jon has been such a good sibling to her children ... Plus, I love Jon.
::sheepish::
I can't remember the story behind it, because I skipped forward in the book to catch up with where we were in the show at the time, so I'm not really clear on the details. It does seem unlike Ned, though.
