Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

GoT was nominated for 4 Television Critics Awards:

Potentially lost in all the buzz and conversation yesterday about the latest episode of Game of Thrones was the announcing of the nominees for this year’s Television Critics’ Association awards. Game of Thrones was tied for the most nominations with four (Justified and Parks and Recreation also received four noms). Thrones was nominated for best drama, best new program, best performance (Peter Dinklage) and program of the year. The winners will be announced in an unaired ceremony on August 6th. The full list of nominees can be found at the TCA’s official site.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I'm almost through True Blood S2 and oh my how delicious is Eric!! I don't even like blondes, but i'd jump that tall drink o water any day. "Good night tiny humans", indeed. But why does he always look so sick? I get Bill looking all green skinned and red-eyed since he subsists only on artifial blood, but other human-drinking vamps look fine and it seems like Eric has ample access to the real thing. Did i miss something?

Man, I'm a wreck. I just marathoned all of Game of Thrones culminating with the season finale.

A year.

Well, I've waited longer for A Song of Ice and Fire to continue. . .

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nice. I plan on doing that as soon as I have 10 hours to devote to the project.

In one day? Wow! The finale was excellent.

Yes it was.

I was worried about the dragons but they looked excellent. . . although I'm not sure that they quite managed the sound of dragon song.

I love how they gave Sansa a momentary notion of pushing Joffrey off that bridge.

Loved that, but I wish she had actually done it. I really want her to be redeemed for being such an idiot in the beginning of the season I can't wait for next year!

I haven't read the books, so I don't know how that scene plays out in them, but I thought it was visually stunning.
