It seemed like the book relationship was all whispers and rumours (very clearly that Renly was fond of the lads, less so that Loras was involved with him....tho span class=spoiler> Loras wearing Renly's armor for the posthumous charge shoulda clued me in.

Drogo fight scene was Jason Momoa's idea.
But they would have had to show at least his wound, if not the fight that caused it, if they're following the book.
Absolutely - but perhaps they were going to that happen off screen during the battle which we don't see in the book.

You're right -- I just remembered we don't see the battle in the book.
Jason Momoa is very large. I can't imagine anyone else playing Conan anymore (even Jared).

Game of Thrones: It's so hard to watch with S., now that I've finished the book, which he hasn't read. He's completely convinced that Ned will be saved one way or another, and that Drogo is going to be fighting the Lannisters, with the Starks' help or something,
and I'm just sitting there biting my lip.
Apparently watching years of Whedon and Minear with me have taught him nothing.
