Finally got to GoT ep 5 and 6. Loras and Renly? That's....fascinating. And rather off-book. But fascinating. I was expecting Loras to be prettier. Shinier hair perhaps?
And i imagined Osha as much older. And less Tonks. Still, prettier Osha does make more sense than what i imagined.
I couldn't love Arya more. Didn't think that was possible, but she's adorable.
The production values are so amazing, I just don't get why so many of the wigs are so meh. Viserys' is fanastic, but Dany's looks like something out a halloween chain store. Loras looks like he stuck his head inside a clogged bathroom drain. The hairlines are impecable, yet they look dull and...fake.
It's true. Why are there so many bad wigs on tv? I believe that there should be an investigation.
I didn't realize Osha was Tonks until someone mentioned it. Her scene with Theon was very revealing about character and cultural assumptions.
I remember Alias's wigs disproportionately fondly.
When they look like magenta fiber-optic cable, the wigmakers don't have to worry so much about making them convincing.
That's the wig you remember. She had plenty of natural ones too.
Yes, but that is the classic Alias wig.
Wolfilicious episode of GoT. And we saw Rickon.
Didn't end quite where I expected it to thought.
That was chock full of badassery.
Loras and Renly? That's....fascinating. And rather off-book.
Do you think so? It's more subtexty in the book, but the relationship is there. I agree that TV!Loras is not as pretty as I expected him to be, and that the wigs in general have a lot to answer for.
It seemed like the book relationship was all whispers and rumours (very clearly that Renly was fond of the lads, less so that Loras was involved with him....tho
span class=spoiler> Loras wearing Renly's armor for the posthumous charge shoulda clued me in.
