Yeah, that too. I'm gonna have to watch this one again. Actual Simon episodes are too full of subtexty goodness for me to be sure what's going on on just one viewing. I hate reading on other sites how much people don't like Sofia; she sort of reminds me of teenaged me. Although it's weird that fandom hate bothers me on those grounds, since I hate myself at least once a day.(although it's ironic, given the way I post now,how much I *couldn't have* just busted out with "Fuck you, you fucking fucks." I don't know if I was that shy, that invested in being the kind of Nice Young Woman parents and teachers liked, or something else, but I went to some pains not to acquire the habit at one time.) ION, Eric Ripert reminds my mother of Frank Pembleton. Cause he seems so unruffled...it's like "Night of The Dead Living" "Take that tie off, Frank. You make me sweat just looking at you." Maybe everyone who's the best looks like that.

[NAFDA] A thread for the discussion of all original programming on HBO, Showtime, Starz and other premium channels.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Episode 7 preview for people who didn't watch the episode on HBOGo. (The trouble with the advance premiere is that there doesn't seem to have been an advance premiere promo for episode 8!)
Interview with Harry Lloyd about Viserys' end.
erika - people don't like Sofia?
I think Sofia is reacting remarkably well - all things considered.
ED: fixed link
That interview link goes to the preview, sumi.
People In The Comments don't. But then, I may be the crazy one, looking for empathy in Salon/AV Club comments. I, personally, relate to Sofia. Also, they could have gotten stuck with Dawnie-type histrionics and "GET OUT!" for twelve episodes before finding out that everybody's memories have been altered and only Steve Earle can see she's just free-floating energy created by the parish monks.
Oh! The interviews with "Viserys" are fun. Especially the details of how they "killed" him. Sounds like a guy who loves his job.
Next I'm listening to Peter Dinklage.
BBM interview with Harry Lloyd.
Erika: HA! I caught up last night, and even though another critic timed the scenes to show how short they were, I found the editing on this episode much more satisfying than the one I reviewed for the AVC. Bad luck on my part that I get the one that's choppy enough to annoy me.
So I started watching The Wire last night. It's going to be interesting seeing some of these actors in this context vs. what other stuff I've seen them in. Though it looks like Lance Reddick is basically playing the same character on Fringe that he played on The Wire.
