Ah.
Interview with Harry Lloyd about Viserys and Emilia Clarke and the wig.
'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
[NAFDA] A thread for the discussion of all original programming on HBO, Showtime, Starz and other premium channels.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I think that you're very close to being caught up and possibly slightly ahead, ita.
Not ahead of this week, no. I haven't read the scene in the sneak peek yet.
Wow, Harry Lloyd is absolutely delicious.
And an excellent actor.
OMG, when Bourdain called Alan Richman a douchebag, I believe he was showing *restraint* This may be the meanest bit of "criticism" I have read ever. And I've been on the internet fifteen years. I know mean, petty, and dog-whistle racist pretty well...Mr. Richman got the trifecta.(Even if the city wasn't still in ruins when he wrote this, which in my view, is like a caning offense, and the fact that someone said "Good job, Richman," and paid him for that makes me want to throw up as a *writer*, even if I don't have personal ties to the place. Read at your own risk, here. [link]
Jesus H., erika- that motherfucker has got some BALLZ writing about the city that way at that time. And having the nerve to whine about not getting the correct vintage of the wine he ordered while at the same time delivering a backhanded compliment to John Besh that serves as an insult to the city as a whole takes douchebag to a whole new level.
During my time in New Orleans, I sought to keep some perspective. For example, when the sommelier at August brought me an incorrect vintage of the wine I’d ordered, I tried not to be too distressed, knowing that somewhere in the Lower Ninth Ward a house was sitting atop a car.
Wow. I mean, just... wow.
"Douchebag" is too nice. IDEK. And Bourdain didn't even quote the worst bits. Like that one. If he had quoted that one, that chapter could be shorter. Just that, and "Enough said." He obviously interned at the Coulter school of Rhetoric and Public Relations. Just because something is audacious and out of left field doesn't mean you're brave when you say it. I kind of want to ruin his life now...he probably makes *so much* more than I do, and I've never been to New Orleans. I could do better than that.
no wonder there was that rant in this week's Treme.
Two sneaks for Game of Thrones - one of them is new.
