Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Always Anti-fascist!

I would find that really hard to get past, ita. But I did like Spike again. It took a while.

Compassionately intolerant

The very last act of episode two had me saying out loud, "I'm done."

I really want to like the series, but killing off the wolves is just too upsetting. Can someone whitefont me a reassurance that either a) this doesn't happen again or b) something good comes of it?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you don't like violence, this is not a series for you. I'm not spoilt, I've just been assured that terrible things keep happening.

Yeah. I hate to be a wimp, but grim just isn't entertaining to me at this point in my time.

I really like the cast, and the concept but...

I think the concept is grim.

Art Crawl!!!

It's grim. And it's just getting started.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Terrible things definitely keep happening.

In my attempt to read an episode's worth of the book each week, I have discovered that I pretty much can't, because when I get caught up to what is going on in Westeros all the Daenarys stuff is still pages and pages away. I can't tell yet what that will mean to her arc on TV, but surely some adjustment will have to be made.

Maybe changing their relationship is part of speeding that up? I don't know.

Tangentially relatedly: HBO mashup pic

Maybe. I can't see how at this point, but maybe.

That pic is great!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

If you suspect you're a GRR Martin character you might as well just kill yourself right away, because it is only going to get worse, and be a lot more unpleasant when you do get agonizingly killed.

At the end of the book series, I fully expect only Tyrion, Arya and Dolorous Edd (not yet met in the TV series) will be standing in an ash-clogged hellscape.
