Maybe Sophie-Anne likes Bill so much because he's as batshit crazy as she is?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

is she crazy though? From the TV series, I'm not ready to conclude that.

I would be happy with a Pam/Eric/Lafayette show, but I'd be happier if Jessica and Hoyt were part of that show too!

Now that the season is over, I decided to continue on with the books. I finished Club Dead last night and there are two things I NEED to see. 1) Bubba. (preferably played by Bruce Campbell) and 2) Sookie and Tara's "Love is a Battlefied" dance. That was a hoot in the book!

oh, yes! Jessica and Hoyt can definitely come to the spin-off!

unfortunately, AB has said no Bubba. can't really blame him for that. it would probably be a bit too cheesy onscreen.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

The worst thing about Bill is that he's boring for a character who has done so much bad shit. This was the season of Bill behaving badly and I just could not have cared less.

I really felt like they weren't even trying with the Hotshot crew. We never learned anything about any of them except Crystal. Why are they all a bunch of inbred hillbillies? How did they get that way and why do they stay that way? Are all of them werepanthers? How is their power related to other were-creatures? Other shape shifter types? They were just in this weird bubble where everything was toothless and brother cousin and dirty underwear and ick. And I still don't understand what the point of the whole thing was or how it was supposed to connect with the rest of the season. Sigh. Such a waste after all the good work that they did turning the Jason character into a ball of awesome in season 2.

I could totally be down with a spin-off featuring Eric and Pam in which Pam continues to foster Jessica (after having staked Bill because somebody should) and Jess and Hoyt do their best HGTV Property Virgins impression. Jesus and LaLa can come, too, but only if they bring Alfe Woodard and LaLa agrees to cut Tara completely out of his life because the girl is seriously unlucky. Sookie would only be welcome if she had Alcide in tow and she agreed to keep him shirtless at all times and never to speak. And I do love that Terry Bellefluer. Maybe he can leave Arlene and become the short order cook at Fangtasia.

Including him in the series would have been a deal-breaker for me. I absolutely cringe every time one of the book plots derails so Harris can devote 20 pages to how precious he is with the cute brain damage and all.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I must say I cackled out loud when Eric threw the term "eyefucking" at Bill and Alcide.

Always Anti-fascist!

wrod. a Bubba cameo would be amusing, one time.(I have only read two books, though. Maybe I would not think that if I read them all.)

Okay, now I'm understanding why you guys were so upset about what the tv series did to Calvin Norris! And the books are actually making me hate what Alan Ball did with Hot Shot even more!

I'm kind of embarrassed to say that these book bring out my inner tween. I want to run around with my Team Eric sign and write EricNSookie4EVA!!!1!!111!!! with little hearts and flowers around it. Unless there's an Alcide scene, in which case, I'll just cross out Eric's name and write in Alcide's.

And I love that there is so much less Bill in the books!

It does make me laugh that almost every single person who meets Sookie either wants to love her (have sex with her) or kill her.
