I can't figure out the Tara angle at all, though. Why her and not a million of the other tragically broken figures in the town?

as I recall, she got Tara out of jail, so Tara's despair might have been a little stronger than the others at that point. Plus, if Mary Ann was looking for someone for Eggs, Tara fit the bill.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, Tara got a DWI. And I'm sure Mary Ann has developed kind of a nose for these things.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

See, I didn't want to take it there because it makes me feel a little bit icky that Mary Ann would have been looking for another little brown person to complete her set. Yuck.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

It is just wrong to call that fine man Eggs. Come on!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

she seems to prey particularly on people with low self-esteem. So, Tara certainly fit that bill. People with high self-esteem wouldn't be snowed by MaryAnn's particular ways of relating.

Tara also has a decent-sized libido and a whole lot of passion/anger on a good day.

I don't think that it was necessarily race that made Mary Ann choose her. She was angry, which is one of Mary Ann's powers. Also, she's pretty much the only attractive single woman that we've seen on the show.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I can pinpoint the moment when Eric had me--it was the hair foils. But damn, Godric is just so awesome!

I'm finally caught up with the episodes.

Compassionately intolerant

Is there blood in my hair? KILLLED me.

Followed immediately by the nearly thrown away, "Pam's gonna kill me."

Love.
