Big Love is #1 on Ent. Weekly's "Must List!" Whoot!

1. BIG LOVE
Big news: For its subtle writing and peerless acting (we're pulling for you come Emmy time, Grace Zabriskie!), Love is renewed for a fourth season on HBO. If it could also find a place in your hearts and on your DVR that'd be right nice too.

I've only seen 4 eps from this season, but I agree with the LA Times!
The ten-episode third season of Big Love, which launched Sunday, Jan. 18, has inspired critical raves. The Los Angeles Times observed, "If there's a better written, better acted, more originally conceived show on television, I defy you to name it." The Wall Street Journal called Big Love "a work of art: luminous, and often moving beyond all understanding," while Time hailed it as "TV's best acted ensemble drama."

Question: Since I'm being good and not throwing a fit about Ask Ausiello moving to Thursdays, can you give up some Big Love scoop? -- Linda
Ausiello: I'm hereby ordering all Emmy voters to watch the Feb. 22 episode. It finds the entire Henrickson clan embarking on a 2,500 mile road trip and it easily ranks as the finest hour of television all season. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll want to throw a parade in honor of Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny and Ginnifer Goodwin.

This is interesting!

• The Hollis clan is based on an actual homicidal Mormon cult of the ’70s; several of the sister-wives are still at large and wanted by the FBI. Also, according to Mark Olsen, they will tell the story of Hollis Green’s freaky-deaky and seemingly transgender wife: “We’ll find out who she is.”
People still around? I only just found this thread!
I've been hoping people would be talking about Flight of the Conchords, but alas...
You mean about how it's gone steadily downhill since they ran out of songs?
You mean about how it's gone steadily downhill since they ran out of songs?
When did they run out of songs?! I don't have HBO now but I've seen a couple from this season that were hilarious!
As the saying goes, you have your whole life to make your first album, but then only six months to make your second.
I don't know, I thought the songs in the most recent episodes have been hilarious. It got off to a shakey start, I thought, but from Michael Gondry's episode onwards I've been enjoying it as much as last season.

I like the songs just fine, but I have to admit I kind of suffer through the show otherwise. I kind of liked "Told You I Was Freaky". And I LOVED "Sugar Lumps". In fact I found myself humming it in school the next day. I think it was the "two complimentary after-dinner mints" that pushed it over the top into my favorites.
Actually I poked the thread because I've gotten sucked into Big Love and wanted to get some affirmation: Nikki! FINALLY!
