Did Lafayette say "Tip your waitress" when he left that table? Whatever it was, it was a great line.
Yes, he did. And it was hilarious.
of course, that whole scene was unnecessary. Why didn't the waitress just quietly get rid of the plate. She was so reluctant to tell Lafayette what happened, so why did she?

I wondered that too. On the other hand, if she doesn't like Lafayette, that might be the kind of passive aggressive thing she would do. I really don't get her character. I need to watch again.

her "oh fudge" really did seem sincere. I wonder if the customers put her up to it and she didn't know how to handle it. They said "go tell him the burger has AIDS" and she couldn't figure out how to make her customer happy and not piss off Lafayette.
I could believe that. Everyone has different ways of handling (or not) difficult customers.

I think she is just 'aw shucks', socially inept. She sincerely didn't want to hurt Lafayette but didn't know how to not tell the truth.
Mmmm. I think Arlene doesn't have a lot of imagination, and deeply prejuducial streak, and like to see shit happen, yet doesn't ever want to start shit herself.
She's not all bad, but she's not a good one, either.
Lafayette's taking off his earring was pretty hilarious.
Trueblood.
Whoa! I suppose the bite was inevitable but I didn't expect it quite so soon.
The friend I watch the show with was really moved by the scene with Sookie eating Gran's pie. I'm not sure why, but it made me a bit queasy. Transubstantiation Pie. ew.
The entire episode was so much slower than the previous ones...not so many questions/answers but whooboy, packed a punch.
In the books, can vampires sense a shapeshifter ? My curiosity was piqued by Bill's seeming comfort with the dog who is not Sam, I don't think .
Details I want to see fleshed out next week: What's up with Uncle Wheels, what's up with the cut screen and, who was it strangling Sookie. Was that her dream or Bill's?
The pie scene really worked for me. That's the last thing her grandmother made for her, and I can imagine what the last few bites would be like.
After Bill's line to Sam about about it not being an appropriate time for marking his territory, it does seem like Bill believes Sam is a werecollie. I'm just guessing, and it could be misdirection, but Bill had a knowing smile when he said that.
On the other hand, Sam could really use a steaming mug of So Not About You At The Moment.
I'm looking forward to next week. I want to see more of Eric, too, whenever he shows up again.
Why is there white font? This thread is NAFDA. The only thing that people are whitefonting is stuff from the books.
