Oh, it's a freakish and totally irrational hatred of voiceovers that is frequently problematic for me. It took me three tries to get through the first season, but I'm looking forward to the next one, now.

This entire fucking season, I was damn near certain that Stringer was going to take out Avon. That had to be the big thing that a friend of mine had mentioned, and there were big flashing signs. Swear to God, it did not even occur to me until, like, TODAY or maybe yesterday that it could possibly go the other way. NOT STRINGER. WHAT THE HELL. I love Avon and all, but...GAH.
I stayed up way too late Friday night/Sat. morning to watch the last half of Mad Men and am here to say that the Golden Globe people got it right, John Hamm sure deserved his award. UK Telegraph about Mad Men and Hamm: [link] The actress who plays Peggy ought to get a nom for an Emmy IMHO.
