Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

Ian McShane to star in NBC's 'Kings'

From an outlaw to royalty -- Ian McShane is returning to television as star of NBC's drama pilot "Kings." "Kings," from Universal Media Studios and writer Michael Green, is a contemporary soap loosely based on the story of King David.

It stars Christopher Egan as David, a pure-hearted young warrior who joins the court of the charismatic and authoritative King Silas (McShane) after saving the life of the king's son.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I started the second season of Deadwood last night!

Man, Bullock and Alma sure have some hot sex.

I'm really confused about what's going on between Al and Bullock now. I don't really get what Al was so het up about before and whatever led to Bullock's having to get into a knockdown-dragout with him.

I love Dan Dority, even though he sort of scares me. "Three in one place! Makes 'em easier to kill! Woohoo!"

Go Joanie! Get outta there! One day, you should stab Cy in the face. I'm just saying.

I think Bullock's self-righteousness really gets up Al's nose in a way to puts his reactions out of proportion to the perceived offense. I think Al's cavelier attitude towards law and order has a similar effect on Bullock.

Episode 2:

I think I like Bullock less than I used to. This is sad. I guess I'm not super down with cheaters, even though his situation is weird.

I still don't like Jane. But that one line was really funny: "Well, we're wishin'...that you were wishin' for somethin' else!"

Aw, Dan is adorable! He's all crying because he thinks Al's replacing him with Adams, and Al has to be, nah, I LOVE YOU BEST DAN...and hands him his shotgun.

R.I.P. Slippery Dan. I guess that's your punishment for sending the other Dan to his death. Jesus, there are a lot of Dans in this camp. Well, were.

Go Joanie and your high-class whorehouse!

I had to look up what a bundling board was and what it signified that Mrs. Bullock had removed it. Oooooh. Interesting.

Always Anti-fascist!

Really? I'm all about Bullock/Alma.

I find Alma kind of dull. Except when she's plotting to make Farnum sad, which is awesome. But then I don't like her when she's bitching out Sarah Paulson for no good reason.

I continue to be utterly perplexed by Trixie. What the hell is her deal? She gets offended that Saul doesn't want to treat her like a whore? The hell? And she...doesn't like Bullock because Bullock doesn't like Al, and she likes Al for some inexplicable reason even though she's already shown she's willing to disobey him?

Garret Dillahunt returns! And is masked by lots of facial hair! And...I don't really understand his character. Who's George Hearst?

Farnum is such a weasel. He tries to scam the guy within an hour of meeting him? Jesus. Also, I forgot, do we know what's in Hickock's letter? It's just a letter to his wife or something, right?

Joanie's pretty great.

The grandfather (or great-grandfather - I memfault which) of William Randolph Hearst.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The hell? And she...doesn't like Bullock because Bullock doesn't like Al, and she likes Al for some inexplicable reason even though she's already shown she's willing to disobey him?

She doesn't want the life she has with Al, or like the way he treats her, but she likes Al himself and you can't get one without the other. Poor Trixie.
