what did people want? a blood bath? I thought the ending wrapped up just enough for me to feel satisfied. Most of the characters I "cared" about, I kind of know what happens in the next year or two. We got the obligatory cycle of life stuff.

I'm satisfied. I wasn't one who hated the "Sopranos" finale, but I liked "The Wire's" better.

I didn't like Michael's final scene. I could buy that kind of change in his life, but the echoes of the guy he was emulating (I'm being purposefully vague here) were a little too broad. I am ambivalent about McNulty's scene with Templeton, too.

But those are minor complaints at best.

I am apparently lisah. Which is pretty damn cool, I must say.

It makes a lot of sense to me that Michael would model himself Omar, so seeing him start down that is just, yeah, of course. How successful he will be with it is another question, but we don't see that.

Just to be clear, I didn't have a problem with the idea of Michael emulating Omar, but the execution was poor, I thought, because I don't get Michael suddenly carrying a double-barreled shotgun or making quips. Too sudden.

Right, Corwood. What I took away was that 1) we don't really know how much time has passed so Michael may have had time to develop his schtick.

and (or possibly) or 2) the stories of Omar are legendary. It makes sense that Michael might start off by imitating him.
