Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm pretty sure the Cannes Boys ep was the season finale, tiggy.

Just watched "Requiem for a Gleet" (S2, ep4, Deadwood).

Man, I love that episode. Unbelievably good TV right there.

Calling all Deadwood fans: I'm sitting down with Ian McShane this weekend so if you've got any questions about the show you'd like to hear answered, let me know and I'll try and work them in. (I'm still behind on the series myself--I've seen a batch of first-season episodes and the whole run is in my Netflix queue, but I gotta get through The Wire and Oz first.) Thanks!

Always Anti-fascist!

Wow, Fone...I'm impressed. Was it more interesting to play Swergin more balls-to-the-wall evil, like in Season One, or as more of a "grey hat" as in later episodes?

Punishingly Intricate

erika, that was going to be my question but I couldn't figure out how to phrase it!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Fone congrats!

Unfortunately, most of my questions would revolve around the word "cocksucker", and most of them are jokey.

Always Anti-fascist!

It would be hard not to go "Swergin! Heng mai," so I guess it's not a mystery why my assignments are small right now. Has his mother ever seen "Deadwood?' What does she think? My mom is hippie but still can't deal with all the cussing.ETA: Thanks, Lisah.

move out and draw fire

Did the other actors hate him for stealing every scene he was in?

Deadwood required him to do some things that normally only nubile young model-actresses are asked to do (sex, partial nudity) and then went beyond, to kind of ugly sex and urination etc. Was this a new experience for him as an actor, to get that raw, and how did he prepare for/execute it?

erika, you know, I've noticed a number of women credited in bit parts here and there who are most likely related to other actors in it (Fiona Dourif, Someone Boothe) and I always wonder how that goes. "Sweetie, why don't you come play a whore tomorrow?"

Punishingly Intricate

I was duckpin bowling with a number of Deadwood fans last night and every time someone left "dead wood" in the lane (that is, didn't reset so the fallen pins would be picked up) we'd yelled "COCKSUCKER!"

very satisfying

I asked if anyone had any questions for Ian MacShane (Mc? too lazy to go back and look) and all I got was "How did you become SO AWESOME?"
