One of the things they said was that each character in Deadwood seems to be from a different genre: Alma is a Henry James character, Jane's a Twain character, Farnum's a Dickens character
so true!
Man, I need to rewatch.
[NAFDA] A thread for the discussion of all original programming on HBO, Showtime, Starz and other premium channels.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

That's sharp! I need to rewatch, too.
The commentaries on Deadwood discs are really great. Even if I wasn't quite prepared for the man behind Bullock to be so...zany.
Wire S4 DVDs coming out December 4. But I lost the link.
I got the link: [link] Red box.
Cool tag, Nicklas. Ah, Crosetti, poor salami-brain, we hardly knew you.
Aw, sniff. "Tell Lester I'm sorry." Killed me then, kills me now. Some of the black posters on hbo.com gave me crap about feeling for Prezbo for that. But the boy was just a wreck, you know?

Really? I guess they're in the 40% who think he's a racist. Did they see S4? I mean, he's clearly in the wrong, but it seems well-nigh impossible not to feel sympathy for him, especially at that moment.
I haven't been back since Season Four. I'm not thin-skinned...I hate their interface. Not every board is as easy to work with as this one. It'd be interesting to see if Season four changed their opinion of him(though we are all *affected* by living in a racist society, of course.) But it's David Simon...it's never gonna be that simple. Look at Homicide's Mike Kellerman and Luther Mahoney.ETA: Even Daniels did, coaching him "And then you said 'Police!" right? You said that, and then he turned on you..." But it might be easy to feel more sympathy since Prez has a face like a choirboy.
Okay, it's not a series, but I suppose it can go here as easily as anywhere else....
Anybody seen Bob Saget's latest HBO special, That Ain't Right?
Nobody nobody nobody works bluer than Bob. He's as blue as my cock is long.
What?
Very, very, very fucking funny. I love Bob Saget.
