I haven't been back since Season Four. I'm not thin-skinned...I hate their interface. Not every board is as easy to work with as this one. It'd be interesting to see if Season four changed their opinion of him(though we are all *affected* by living in a racist society, of course.) But it's David Simon...it's never gonna be that simple. Look at Homicide's Mike Kellerman and Luther Mahoney.ETA: Even Daniels did, coaching him "And then you said 'Police!" right? You said that, and then he turned on you..." But it might be easy to feel more sympathy since Prez has a face like a choirboy.
Premium Cable: The Cursing Costs Extra
[NAFDA] A thread for the discussion of all original programming on HBO, Showtime, Starz and other premium channels.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Okay, it's not a series, but I suppose it can go here as easily as anywhere else....
Anybody seen Bob Saget's latest HBO special, That Ain't Right?
Nobody nobody nobody works bluer than Bob. He's as blue as my cock is long.
What?
Very, very, very fucking funny. I love Bob Saget.
I had heard that for years about Saget, that he was way more perverse than his image, but you know, considering the image in question, how could he not be? I haven't seen that special, though.
Didn't you see The Aristocrats, erika? Saget's version is pretty filthy.
No, actually, I didn't. It's funny that that and "An Inconvenient Truth" are backing up the end of my queue for such different reasons.
I watched the end of "Reformation"--Wire 3.10 yesterday. Bubbles was something, back in the day. Because we know he flirts his skinny ass off with Ms. Kima, but even a dork might do that, given that Kima doesn't play on his team, but Bubbles charmed the obnoxious Squeak as well(later "heroine" of my very favorite Season Three moment. "Damn, I can't wait till I can jail.") We don't get to see it very often, but there was a time when Bubbles had it going on.
Did you guys hear this?
According to the New Yorker, Steve Earle is recording a version of Way Down In The Hole, which is to be used as the new theme song of HBO's hit series The wire.

Oh that makes sense! Although I'm still sad they didn't ask us to record a version for them.

It's a good version too. Looking forward to see it with the title images.
I'd read that a few weeks back and thought, "Aw, that should be Lisa's spot."
