Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Ha! I do think, like the metaquotes post said, that's going to become a fandom legend of meeting-the-actor stories.

For any more "Life on Mars"ers out there: the Guardian TV blog.

Also, apparently one of the writers confirmed in a press interview (MEN) today that Sam Tyler commits suicide when he jumps off the building.

And finally some more info about the spin-off series here. I see they are sticking with the same premise. I do have to admit that the sentence "It's a touch of Moonlighting teamed with a measure of Miami Vice," fills me with dread.

Edit: Aaaand I just found an interview with Matthew Graham here which clarifies a lot of points. OK, I think I'm done now.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

You're killing me with the whitefont, Fiona, but I shall resist! I'm ahemming as we speak.

Oh sorry, Jon, but really: don't read it until you've seen the episode! It gives everything away.

I'm just frustrated because I want to discuss the ending with somebody!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Dang. Does anyone know if/when Life on Mars is supposed to run on BBCA? I tried looking but I quickly discovered I'd be quite spoiled if I looked any further.

The first series already ran. I can't find anything on the BBCA site about series 2, sorry.

hmm, I guess we'll have to wait and see if I am justified in ahemmmming it.

Art Crawl!!!

BBCA doesn't tend to update stuff that isn't currently running. I think that Life on Mars was one of the titles mentioned in the BBCA upfronts. (You know when they were talking about their schedule by show-type per day: Saturday for things like Life on Mars, Torchwood, Hex.)

Anyway, that schedule goes into effect in June. But I don't know what shows are going to be on first EXCEPT that they've been running MANY ads for season 2 of Hex.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ben Browder, from Farscape, Stargate: SG1, and occasional guest-star appearances in my dreams.

Bwah! Yours too? The guy gets around, oneirically speaking.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

BSG - I gave up on the podcast about 10 minutes before the end. RDM needs to get the frack over the spoiler thing. I swear, the more I hear him whine about it, the more I want to break into the SciFi offices and start stealing scripts so I can post them online. (Note to SciFi honchos: just kidding! Really! I don't even live on that coast!)

Maybe it's just that with the podcasts, he's got more of an outlet to whine about this than Joss & Co did, but I honestly don't remember spoilers being taken so seriously back in the old days. (Taken seriously in the "taken as a personal affront" sense -- obviously ME were masters at leaking foilers when they wanted to, but I always got a sense that they treated it as a game rather than a personal betrayal of everything fandom was supposed to stand for.)
