A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I think it's more important at the start of a discussion, or when someone is posting about a different show (e.g. suddenly switching to Eureka when the most recent string of posts has been about Dresden Files).
Sometimes there is a flurry of posts on more than one show simultaneously, so there is occasional mix-n-match. If we work to develop the habit of labelling our posts, that will be less of a challenge.
My SPN DVDs came yesterday! They're so shiny and wrapped in plastic.

They're still wrapped? You haven't unpacked them to at least watch the gag reel yet?
Scifi will be marathoning season 3 of BSG in mid-May.
The last paragraph is a bit confusing but I think that they meant to say that the 4th season will start shooting in May to be aired in early 2008.
I do tend to read through them myself (guessing at what is actually going on when somebody posts, "Oh no! Weepy alert!" or "If you make that face too much it will get stuck that way, Sam."),
a. Dean feels
really, really
bad.

It's like I don't even know you, P-C. Still wrapped?
Article about Dresden Files:
While I agree with some of the author's points, I think he's being overly critical in complaining about the lack of Harry's various allies. One, Harry built up his allies over time and Two, the last thing you want to do with a brand new series is have a constant parade of new characters that the viewers have to try and keep track of. I'd love to see Michael, Thomas, the Alphas and have Harry deal with the fae as well, but I'd rather they be involved slowly so each can get the amount of respect they deserve.

Heee. I came home late after seeing
Grindhouse,
and then I had all these errands to run today before seeing
The Namesake,
and I just got back, and...I will gag soon enough!

Too bad he spent most of the article talking about how bad it was that it didn't follow the books, and then grudgingly admitted it was pretty good on its own.
Personally, I don't want a cast of thousands. It works in the books, because there's more time/space to develop them and their relationships with Harry, but in a 42-minute show, they'd just steal time from the characters I really care about: Harry, Bob, and Murphy. If they only show up a couple times a season, that'd be okay; it would be nice to know that Harry has built up a support system out there even if we didn't see them all the time. Harry needs a support system besides Bob.
I'm finally almost done with the old Who that's out on DVD, and I think I really want Ace to pop up at some point in the current incarnation. Looking at her bio on wikipedia (And can I just take a moment to comment on the amount of extended universe content?), such an appearance could be substantially different from Sarah Jane's.
Actually, given how similar she and Rose were, it would have been interesting to have done that episode instead of School Reunion, even if I can think of several meta reasons for going with Sarah Jane instead.
