This might mean I'm a bad person, but Peter's haircut made me *cackle* with laughter. I mean, I hope he doesn't die, but-- ha! Sylar thinks his hair is as goofy as we do!

And, man, this was the week for minor characters being AWESOME. Ando, Mama Bennet, Mama Petrelli-- all turned out to be so much stronger and cooler and more fantastic than I had ever previously suspected. I approve of this development!

So Dresden Files was plenty funny, but it felt a little too silly. And I agree with Bob's tidbit about his history feeling tacked on.

Though I guess we know where Uncle Justin learned how to cheat death.

BSG: I had no emotional reaction to Starbuck dying. I love the character, but I was too "What the hell was that!?!?" to have any other response. If she's really dead dead for no good reason, I don't know if I'll be able to continue watching the show. I had enough of jerking the fans around to jerk the fans around instead of because it makes a good story from the X-Files.

Peter. Is. Not. Dead.

Ando to the rescue. Hiro has his magic feathersword! Haitian's higher authority for Claire was Mama Petrelli. Mohinder actually having a clue, but then stupidly monologuing like a supervillain instead of just killing Sylar.

Awesome, awesome episode. Can't wait for the Peter and Sylar showdown, though Sylar has to get away so he can kill Isaac before the explosion.

Also, gah, Mohinder on the ceiling! Don't die! Or catch on fire!

Candice was lifted wholesale from Mystique, but it's OK, because I love Mystique.

Well Mystique actually shape-shifts, though, doesn't she? Candance seems to be projecting an illusion (particularly since she made Simone's body disappear when the cops showed up.)

I forgot to mention how awesome it was for HRG to let his wife in on everything, knowing the Company wouldn't try and scan her mind, and trust her to keep him from screwing things up for Claire. Too bad he didn't think to make sure it was the real Mrs. Benett before he blew the secret.

I was screaming in agitation at Hiro to run up the steps to just grab the sword, and then screamed in joy when Ando showed back up, then groaned at Mohinder for being so blind, and let out the hugest sigh of relief when he turned the tables, then got scared again when he started getting too comfortable with Sylar imprisoned (curare hat trick! Also guest-starring on The Dresden Files), then screamed some more. I think, almost worse than thinking Mohinder was dead was realizing he was still alive crucified to the ceiling. Kinda like in Seven when you think the skinny dude on the bed was dead... only not as nightmare-inducing...

Was kinda disappointed that "go deep" turned out to be not very deep at all, and it left HRG open to sabotaging his own plans on keeping Claire safe, which they should have seen coming.

Go mamma Petrelli! But, didn't she slap Peter when he said he could fly? How does she know about Claire? How does she know the Haitian?

How does Linderman know so much?!

There was an interview a ways back (in EW, I think) where Kring said there was a reason for Peter's hair. When I saw that one lone lock hitting the floor in a rather poetic, non-graphic way of conveying the head-slicing going on, I wondered if that was the "reason" Kring spoke of. Eh?

Someone here said there was no way this ep could live up to, let alone exceed, last weeks ep, and I thought they were crazy, but, good as it was, you were right. No where near as awesome.

In BSG news, I have a theory: Kara is Jonathon Livingston Seagull! She's flying higher and faster than any other seagull viper pilot, in search of perfection, destined to lead the rest of the seagulls humanity to a higher level of existence and peace where they don't have to eat garbage processed algae, but on Jonathon's Kara's mission, she dies, and enters a higher plane of existence, and learns seagull-foo, and eventually returns to the flock fleet to show them the path to Earth...

You know, I don't think I would have suspected this if I hadn't read Frank's post, but I knew for sure that she wasn't Mama Bennet when she went to answer the phone, saying it was the dog kennel (or wherever Mr. Muggles was), and it *wasn't* doing the yippy-dog ringtone (which, by the way, was *hilarious*).

Oh, cool! I didn't pick up on that, but I think you're right -- otherwise, why would the whole background need to shift when she does?

I LOVE that Grandma Petrelli is the power that supercedes HRG in the Haitian Sensation's life.

Linderman vs. Petrelli matriarch -- it's very The Stand.

And where does the Company fit in? Linderman's operation, or yet another party involved (since it doesn't look to be Mama Petrelli's team).

I was so psyched when it turned out Nathan's been working for the Feds all along, and then he gives in to his worst impulses. Bad Nathan, no pot pie biscuit.

I definitely had a moment of "omg! Sylar is the Yellow-Eyed Demon!" Oh, shows. See above, re: protective older brothers and the floppy-haired emo superpowered younger brothers who love them.

Also, I think Candace is played by that girl from Stick It, which... I may be the only one here who actually paid money to see, but trust me, she's awesome in it.

eta: also put me down as relieved that Nathan's not actually a crooked politician, and has in fact been on the side of the angels all along. Though that might have been mostly revenge for whatever Linderman did to Petrelli Senior.

And, really, I can't blame him for not shooting Linderman when he had the chance. He was pretty well backed into a corner.
