Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hi Colin, I hope you're recovering well from your surgery. I can't wait for new Eureka episodes!

Oh, when you see him, tell Neil we loved his shot on Supernatural. Crossovers are fun!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I've been MIA with a foot surgery and stuff, please excuse my not reading everything that has happened since my absence.

Well, I just skipped five hundred posts because I'm lazy, so I think foot surgery is a good excuse. Hope that went well, and you are healing quickly (and that PT isn't too much of a bitch).

It's great to see you here, and it's great to have Eureka to look forward to.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh, for those who might have missed the announcement in Sunnydale Press, I've put forth a proposal to split off a Heroes dedicated thread from Boxed Set -- the discussion starts here in the Lightbulbs thread. The formal proposal should start voting on Sunday. As it will definitely affect this thread the most strongly if it passes, I want to be scrupulous that Boxed Set habituees know what's up.

(Oh, and there's less than 200 quite civil posts discussing the idea, for those who are shy of having to digest novel-sized arguments.)

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Ooooh, more Eureka. I'm ready for that. Is season 1 coming out on DVD at all, Colin? I've got about half the episodes on my TiVo, but that is not, unfortunately, all of them. I'm sort of a completist.

What is even happening?

I was wondering the same thing, Sail. I'm a late-comer and saw the final episode first. I liked what I saw, though and am sorry I missed the boat.

For some reason, my TiVo caught part of a Malcolm in the Middle episode, this week. I was skimming through it, even though I never watched the show, because Malcolm looks just like a guy I went to school with. Colin was playing a Sheriff in it and had a very soapy storyline with some woman. I had a funny disconnect for a moment.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

From what I recall, there's some work yet to be done for the DVD set. Something about a blooper reel and...I really should have been paying more attention.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Oooh, blooper reel!

Nearly forgot about Eureka, since it's been so long. Looking forward to season 2.

Thanks! The foot is great. I'm playing road hockey, and hiking and biking - so it's great.

Espensen fit in great apparently. Her episode is hilarious I hear. I think it's about Fargo.

We did the last commentary for the DVD yesterday. It comes out before season 2 begins. I guess they lost our pilot commentary so we had to re-do that. Which was fun but I feel like we forgot a lot of stuff from two years ago.... sad.

Oh well. And you can't be as detailed when three people are talking.

It's not so much a blooper reel as a missing scene reel. Some of the connecting pieces get put back. And there is a clip of Jaime scaring me during a take - which I still don't know why it goes on the dvd. I'm being all cool and then.... yeah...

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm all kinds of excited for a Jane ep about Fargo. Yay!
