I'm praying it's a joke. There can't be more money in wrestling than in geeks. There just can't be.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Wrestling settled down to roughly Eureka/ last seasons's BSG/SG-1/SGA-level ratings, didn't it? Seems to me there are still more nerds watching the channel than beer-swilling wrestling fans. Which the execs should keep in mind, however uncomfortable they are with the network's image.

How big is this span? My memory's telling me BSG was 1.71, for some reason, but I'm not sure if that was the season average or what. From the cancellation news, I'm assuming that SG1 was notably lower.
From the cancellation news, I'm assuming that SG1 was notably lower.
It's something of an apples/oranges comparison, though. SciFi might tolerate lower ratings for BG because it earns money from DVD sales, which it doesn't for SG1.
No, I meant that something in the cancellation news implied SG1 was lower. And lower than SGA. But I can't recall what.
God, my head is made of cotton candy today.
The press release doesn't exist at that site anymore. I vote prank.
Galactica averaged 2.0 last season. The lowest rated episodes went down to 1.7. Maybe that's why the number sticks in your mind.
I got my weekly Netflix envelope in the mail yesterday, and I opened it up expecting Disc 1 of the new Doctor Who, when I was surprised to find "Rememberance of the Daleks," the Sylvester McCoy 25th-anniversary-season ep that had tons of callbacks to the original show's first episode, "The Unearthly Child." I had forgotten that that was on the top of my queue, but enjoyed watching it again (it's the only original-series ep I still have on tape, but I wanted to watch the extras).
A really excellent episode, and much darker than I remembered, especially with the racism theme running throughout the plot, both for the Daleks (race war between two variants of the same species; to quote Ace, "They're not pure in their blobbiness. Result: they hate each others' chromosomes.") and for Ace's hunk-du-episode, Mike the Racist Army Guy. Also, since it was a Dalek ep, lots of explosions and deaths on both sides (the commentary with McCoy and Sophie Aldred had a running tally of the number of times their lead stuntie gets killed in spectacular ways).
Scariest/creepiest bit was the way the Daleks used a little girl to control their minions.
Oh, I love watching darts! Those guys are amazing! Admittedly, I also watch OLN for their other programming, too, and not just the hockey.
Also? I say doom, doom, doom, about SciFi. This is the Man getting back at us geeks for the tech bubble bust, isn't it? I mean, really, I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean it!
I consulted the tubes for any other references to a name change, to thankfully no luck. Though I did find the wikipedia entry for Eureka, where it says that Eureka was originally going to be an animated series. Glad they didn't go in that direction!
Also says that Colin is "pleasant and believable," which I think is an excellent description.
SG-1 's ratings (and to a lesser degree, SGA's) have been in free-fall this year into the low-to-mid 1's. But I thought they were both hovering around the 2.0 level last year.
